    Abstract: Provided is a method for a user equipment (UE). The UE obtains a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell (SCell) activation command from a primary cell (PCell) or primary secondary-cell-group cell (PSCell). The PUCCH SCell activation command is used for an PUCCH SCell activation of a target PUCCH SCell for the UE. The UE performs PUCCH SCell activation operations associated with a valid timing advance (TA) and the PUCCH SCell activation command. TA is considered to be a valid TA when the TA meets a preset criterion. The UE generates a channel state information (CSI) report for transmission to at least one of the PCell, PSCell and the target PUCCH SCell. The CSI report indicates that the PUCCH SCell activation is completed.

    Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control signal from a base station to update a target pathloss reference signal from an existing pathloss reference signal. In at least one embodiment, the UE may obtain a plurality of samples of the target pathloss reference signal. In at least one embodiment, the UE may determine, based on obtaining the plurality of samples of the target pathloss reference signal, that the UE is unable to update the target pathloss reference signal. In at least one embodiment, the UE may adjust the uplink transmission power of the UE based on the existing pathloss reference signal or to a maximum transmit power based on said determining that the UE is unable to be updated to the target pathloss reference signal.

    Abstract: Some embodiments include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for determining a reception (Rx) beam sweep scale factor, N, that enables a user equipment (UE) to perform Rx beam refinement. Some embodiments are directed to a 5G Node B (gNB) that includes processor circuitry and radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry can be configured to receive, using the radio front end circuitry, a MaxNumberRxB cam capability of the UE. The processor circuitry can determine based at least on the MaxNumberRxBeam capability of the UE and/or a Channel-State Information (CSI)- reference signal (RS) set with a repetition parameter configured to be 'ON', the value of N. The processor circuitry can generate a message comprising the value N, and encode the message for transmission to the UE, where N Rx beam sweeps enable the UE to perform Rx beam refinement.
