    Abstract: The present invention relates to a monocarboxylic acid based antifreeze coolant formulation for applications such as for gasoline engines which may be used for inhibition and prevention erosion and corrosion of aluminum and the corrosion of other metals exposed to an aqueous liquid in automotive coolant systems. The formulation further inhibits mineral scale. It may be packaged as an ethylene glycol based additive for use in new engines or in a concentrated inhibition package as an additive as for reinhibition of used coolant. The combination of a mixture of ethylene or propylene glycol, a monobasic carboxylic organic acid, azoles, and low levels of molybdates provides corrosion resistance. A heavy duty formula more suited for diesel engines also contains a nitrite salt and/or nitrate salt and a siloxane stabilized silicate, and combinations thereof to provide a synergistic protective effect against the cavitation corrosion of aluminum in aqueous liquids reducing the corrosion rate and is effective at relatively low concentrations varying pH ranges.

    Abstract: This invention relates generally to water resistant peelable protective and decorative clear or pigmented foam coating compositions and, more specifically, to aqueous and solvent based, polymeric coating compositions which form a protective and/or decorative coating and is removably adhered to a variety of substrates, including automotive paints, metals, glass, vinyl, plastics, concrete, natural and synthetic elastomers, and ceramics. The coatings present a three-dimensional expandable foamy coating, and can be readily peeled off from the substrate as a whole piece. The coatings may be formulated for temporary or long-term protection depending upon the application. The peelable coatings can be applied as a paint, paste, film, or expandable foam cord whereby the expansion of the foam can be controlled by the formulation and applicator.

    Abstract: Una formulacion aditiva del lubricante para la adhesion a un aceite de motor convencional, para mejorar las propiedades de lubricacion del aceite de motor y aumentar el funcionamiento del motor. El tratamiento del aditivo de aceite de motor comprende una mezcla sinergística de un aditivo de molibdeno soluble en aceite, polialfaolefina, éster tal como un poliéster o diéster, politetrafluoroetilano, un inhibidor de la dispersion que contiene ditiofosfato de zinc, una prevision base de aceite mineral, mejoradores del índice de la viscosidad y el éster borato utilizado junto con un lubricante de cigüeñal convencional de aproximadamente 20 a aproximadamente 25% en volumen/por ciento. El funcionamiento mejorado del aditivo del motor en comparacion con los lubricantes del cigüeñal convencionales, es atribuible al defecto de optimizar los parámetros de diseño para cada uno de los sustituyentes químicos individuales y que combinan los constituyentes químicos de acuerdo con la presente invencion, para obtener resultados sorprendentemente buenos incluyendo resistencia a la oxidacion, al desgaste, estabilidad de la viscosidad, limpieza del motor, economía de combustible, encendido en frío e inhibicion de la formacion de ácido mejorado.
