Abstract: This application relates to illuminated dome switches and a dome switch assembly having a first contact carried by a switch base and a dome shaped structure coupled to and supported by the switch base, the dome shaped structure comprising a material that is flexible and capable of internally transmitting visible light. The switch assembly can include a second contact coupled to the dome shaped structure and arranged opposite the first contact, and a light source configured to emit visible light, the light source in optical communication with the dome shaped structure such that at least some of the visible light emitted by the light source passes into the material and is subsequently emitted by the material in a generally uniform manner.

Abstract: An input device, such as a stylus, can include an adjustment element that changes a size and/or shape of the stylus. Abstract: This application relates to a dome switch assembly including a base plate that carries a first contact, and a flexible surface connected to the base plate, the flexible surface formed of a metal material in the shape of a dome. The assembly can include a second contact coupled to the flexible surface, and a sound-dampening pad coupled to the flexible surface and formed of a material having noise-dampening properties, wherein when at least a threshold amount pressure is applied to the flexible surface, the flexible surface changes from the dome shape to a collapsed shape allowing the first and second contact to touch, wherein the sound dampening pad absorbs at least some acoustic energy emitted by the touching of the first and second contacts.
