Abstract:
Catalyzed soot filters comprising a wall flow monolith having porous walls, a first washcoat permeating the porous walls and a second washcoat on the porous walls are disclosed. Methods of manufacturing catalyzed soot filters and diesel engine exhaust emission treatment systems are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally provides low-temperature nitrogen oxides (NOx) adsorbers used in the treatment of a NOx -containing exhaust gas stream and to methods of preparing and using the same. In particular, the NOx adsorber composition comprises an active metal and a metal oxide support, wherein the metal oxide support comprises greater than 50% by weight ceria based on the total weight of the NOx adsorber composition, and wherein the active metal comprises about 0.01% to about 5% by weight ruthenium based on the total weight of the NOx adsorber composition.
Abstract:
An oxidation catalyst composite, methods, and systems for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions from a diesel engine are described. More particularly, described is an oxidation catalyst composite including a first oxidation component comprising a first refractory metal oxide support, palladium (Pd) and platinum (Pt); a NOx storage component comprising one or more of alumina, silica, titania, ceria, or manganese; and a second oxidation component comprising a second refractory metal oxide, a zeolite, and Pt. The oxidation catalyst composite is sulfur tolerant, adsorbs NOx and thermally releases the stored NOx at temperature less than 350°C.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A diesel oxidation catalyst for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions, such as the oxidation of unburned hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) is described. Also described is a novel washcoat composition including a surface-coated zeolite coated with at least one of zirconia and alumina, and a platinum group metal supported on a high surface area alumina.
Abstract:
Diesel oxidation catalysts comprising a first washcoat layer including a platinum group metal impregnated on a promoted non-zeolitic support are described. The promoter is one or more of tin, manganese, indium, group VIII metals. Methods of making and using the diesel oxidation catalyst, including emissions treatment systems, are also described.
Abstract:
DIESEL OXIDATION CATALYSTS, CATALYTIC ARTICLES, METHODS OF MAKING CATALYTIC ARTICLES, EMISSIONS TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF TREATING AN EXHAUST GAS STREAM USING THE CATALYTIC ARTICLES FOR THE TREATMENT OF EXHAUST GAS EMISSIONS, SUCH AS THE OXIDATION OF UNBURNED HYDROCARBONS (HC) AND CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) ARE DESCRIBED. SPECIFIC CATALYTIC ARTICLES COMPRISING A SUBSTRATE (12) WITH A FIRST WASHCOAT LAYER (20) COMPRISING GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO ABOUT 2% BY WEIGHT PALLADIUM DISPERSED ON A CERIA SUPPORT AND A SECOND WASHCOAT LAYER (22) COMPRISING A PLATINUM GROUP METAL AND A REFRACTORY METAL OXIDE ARE DESCRIBED.
