Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of a polyurethane adhesive for producing film-coated furniture. The adhesive comprises two components, wherein the first component contains at least two different polyurethanes having carboxyl groups, and the polyurethanes have units derived from polyester diols and units derived from polyether diols, wherein the total volume ratio of the sum of all units derived from polyester diols to the sum of all units derived from polyether diols ranges from 1:9 to 9:1, and wherein the second component contains at least one silane compound that is reactive to carboxyl groups.
Abstract:
The invention relates to aqueous adhesive dispersions, containing dispersed polyurethanes and ethoxylated fatty alcohols as emulsifiers. The polyurethanes are composed of certain organic diisocyanates, dihydroxy compounds, selected from certain polyester diols and polyether diols and compounds having groups that are reactive to isocyanate groups and at least one ionic group. The adhesive dispersions can be used as lamination adhesives, for example for composite film lamination or for the lamination of rigid molded bodies with flexible decorative films.
Abstract:
Described is the use of aqueous polyurethane dispersions for laminating molded articles, said polyurethane containing units derived from at least one amorphous polyester polyol and units derived from at least one polycarbonate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of synthetic adhesives for producing corrugated cardboard at relatively low temperatures and high web speeds. The corrugated cardboard comprises a corrugated paper web and a smooth cover web, and the corrugation of the corrugated paper web is generated at paper temperatures lower than 95ºC and at a web speed greater than 150 m/min. Immediately after the corrugation of the corrugated paper web has been generated, a preferably unheated corrugation adhesive is applied in a continuous process and the corrugated paper web is glued to the at least one first cover web. The corrugation adhesive used is an aqueous adhesive dispersion on the basis of at least one synthetic, dispersed polymer having preferably a solids content of more than 40 wt %, selected from acrylate copolymers, copolymers from vinylaromatic compounds and conjugated aliphatic dienes and vinyl acetate/alkylene copolymers, wherein the glass transition temperatures of the polymers are higher than 20ºC and below the surface temperature of the corrugated paper web (preferably by at least 50ºC) to which they are applied.
Abstract:
Use of a sheet to bond two substrates adhesively, characterized in that the sheet comprises a layer composed to an extent of more than 30% by weight of a heat-activable polyurethane (PU layer for short).
