Abstract: processo para a produção de uma espuma de poliuretano flexível hidrofílica, espuma de poliuretano flexível hidrofílica e uso. a presente invenção se refere a um processo para a produção de uma espuma de poliuretano flexível hidrofílica, em que (a) pelo menos um pré-polímero de poliuretano com um teor de isocianato de 5 a 10% em peso, com base no peso do pré-polímero de isocianato (a), é misturado com (b) pelo menos um componente aquoso em uma razão em peso de pré-polímero de poliuretano (a) para o componente aquoso (b) de 3: 1 a 1: 1,2 e deixado reagir para formar a espuma de poliuretano flexível, em que o pré-polímero de poliuretano (a) é obtido por mistura e reação de pelo menos um isocianato (a1) com pelo menos um polieterol (a2), o isocianato (a1) compreende diisocianato de metilenodifenileno e o polieterol (a2) tem um número de hidroxila de 30 a 60 mg koh/g e pode ser obtido por alcoxilação de pelo menos uma molécula iniciadora bifuncional e/ou trifuncional com óxido de etileno e óxido de propileno e o teor de óxido de etileno, com base no peso total de óxido de alquileno, é de pelo menos 60% em peso, com base no peso total do poliéter poliol (a2), em que o polieterol (a2) pode ser obtido por propoxilação da(s) molécula(s) iniciadora(s) em uma primeira etapa até um número de hidroxila de 400 a 1200 mg koh/g, seguido por uma alcoxilação da molécula iniciadora propoxilada com uma mistura de óxido de etileno e óxido de propileno e, finalmente, uma etoxilação do produto de alcoxilação assim obtido com 2 a 10% em peso de óxido de etileno, com base no óxido de alquileno usado para produzir o polieterol (a2) e o componente aquoso (b) compreende pelo menos 90% em peso de água (b1) e até 10% em peso de substâncias tensoativas não contendo silicone (b2). a presente invenção refere-se ainda a uma espuma de poliuretano flexível que pode ser obtida por tal processo e ao uso dessa espuma de poliuretano flexível para o tratamento de feridas.
