    Abstract: A control system for use with an apparatus comprising an elongated body defining an interior bore for containing sealant and having proximal and distal ends, a piston movably positioned in the bore, a distal outlet communicating with the bore, a first gas passageway cooperatively associated with the distal outlet and configured to direct gas to create a spray discharge of sealant, and an actuating member cooperatively associated with the piston is described. The system comprises: a control unit (4) comprising a supply valve (V1) and a pressure switch (PS2) for opening and closing the supply valve; and a timing delay control member (PFC1) that is operatively connected to the control unit via the pressure switch (PS2). The control unit is operable upon receipt of a control signal from the apparatus to open the supply valve and activate a flow of gas to the first gas passageway essentially simultaneously with a force being applied to the actuating member to eject sealant from the distal outlet so as to create a spray discharge of sealant. The timing delay control member prevents the pressure switch from closing the supply valve for a predetermined period of time after the applied force is removed from the actuating member to provide a discharge of gas after the user has stopped the ejection of sealant.

    Abstract: A laparoscopic tissue sealant spray apparatus and system having a laparoscopic tissue sealant spray assembly combined with a trocar assembly, the tissue sealant spray assembly having an elongate delivery tube. A spray outlet at a distal end of the elongate delivery tube may be rounded or angled. A ring member provided at the distal end of the elongate delivery tube directs a spray cone toward a portion of a target tissue site, and the spray cone may be repositioned to a different portion of the target tissue site by rotation of the elongate delivery tube. The trocar assembly includes a vent opening that connects to a venting valve member that provides a vent path which passively opens upon operation of the tissue sealant spray assembly, avoiding excessive pressure build-up within a body cavity.

    Abstract: Ovaj je izum općenito usmjeren na razne strukture za nanošenje sredstva za lijepljenje na radnu površinu. U jednom aspektu izuma pruža se sklop aplikatora sredstva za lijepljenje za korištenje s tipom uređaja koji ima izduženo tijelo koje definira unutrašnju šupljinu te ima pokretni klip postavljen u šupljinu i potisni dio koji je u radu povezan s klipom. Sklop sadrži adapter raspršivanja koji je tako prilagođen da je povezan sa šupljinom tijela i definira distalni otvor. Prvi prolaz za plin je kooperativno pridružen distalnom otvoru te je izveden tako da usmjerava plin kako bi se dobio raspršeni mlaz sredstva za lijepljenje. Pokretački dio je tako prilagođen da bude kooperativno pridružen potisnom dijelu kako bi se sredstvo za lijepljenje izbacilo kroz distalni otvor i djeluje tako da istovremeno pokrene dovod plina u prvi prolaz za plin kako bi se proizveo raspršeni mlaz sredstva za lijepljenje.
