    Abstract: A pneumatic tire comprising a rubber composition used for a tread. The rubber composition includes a rubber component and particulates of a crystalline syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene resin. The particulates have an average particle diameter of 1 to 500 .mu.m and a melting point of said crystalline syndiotactic-1,2- polybutadiene resin is not less than 110.degree.C. A compound- ing ratio of the resin being 5 to 60 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the rubber composi- tion. A matrix portion of the tread rubber other than the above particulates is preferably a foamed rubber. The particulates may be resin-composite particulates composed of the crystalline syndiotactic-1,2- polybutadiene resin having the melting point of not less than 110.degree.C and a carbon black, wherein a compounding ratio of the resin-composite particulates is 5 to 60 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the rubber component, and the resin and the carbon black satisfy the following inequalities: 250

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire tread, which is capable of decreasing the hardness (Hd) and improving the gripping performance of the tire tread at a low temperature, especially suitable for a racing tread etc.
    SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the tire tread is obtained by compounding ≥80 pts.mass carbon black having an iodine adsorption (IA) of ≥120 mg/g and a dibutyl phthalate oil absorption (DBP) of ≥100 ml/100 g with 100 pts.mass rubber component containing ≥30 pts.mass natural rubber, wherein the natural rubber is obtained by solidifying and drying a natural rubber latex and comprises a viscosity stabilizer.
