Abstract: A molding composition is described and comprises a mixture of interpenetrating polymers. A first phase comprises a crosslinked isobutene polymer, and a second phase encompasses a reinforcing polymer comprising (meth)acrylic and/or vinylaromatic units. The first phase is the reaction product of an isobutene polymer having an average of at least 1.4 functional groups in the molecule and of a crosslinking agent having an average of at least two functional groups in the molecule, the functionality of these being complementary to that of the functional groups of the isobutene polymer. The molding composition is particularly suitable for the roofing of buildings, or as impact-modified polystyrene or polymethyl methacrylate.

Abstract: Compuestos fenólicos trinucleares de fórmula general V**Fórmula** en la que el sustituyente R1 designa un resto hidrocarbilo con de 1 a 3000 átomos de carbono, que puede estar interrumpido por uno o varios heteroátomos del grupo de O y S y/o por una o varias agrupaciones NR6, en donde R6 designa un átomo de hidrógeno o un resto alquilo C1 a C4, y en la que los sustituyentes R2, R3, R4, R5, R8, R9 y R10 representan independientemente entre sí átomos de hidrógeno o restos hidrocarbilo con en cada caso de 1 a 3000 átomos de carbono, que pueden estar interrumpidos por uno o varios heteroátomos del grupo de O y S y/o por una o varias agrupaciones NR6, en donde R6 tiene el significado mencionado anteriormente, con la condición de que al menos uno de los sustituyentes R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R8, R9 y R10 representa un resto poliisobutenilo con un peso molecular promedio en número Mn de 183 a 42.000 y los sustituyentes restantes del grupo R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R8, R9 y R10, cuando representan restos hidrocarbilo, presentan en cada caso de 1 a 20 átomos de carbono.

Abstract: A process is described for removing isobutene oligomers from an isobutene polymer by stripping the isobutene polymer with vapors of a saturated hydrocarbon having at least 8 carbon atoms and at least partly driving out the isobutene oligomers. Troublesome isobutene oligomers are substantially removed without impairing the reactivity of the isobutene polymer (expressed as the content of the methylidene double bonds).
