In a color ink nozzle array C1 having the shortest print distance from the black print formed by the black ink nozzle array Bkl, there is introduced a color ink showing the highest mutual reactivity with the black ink, and a color ink showing the next highest mutual reactivity is introduced into a nozzle array C2 having the next shortest print distance, and a color ink showing the lowest mutual reactivity is introduced into a nozzle array C3 having the longest print distance.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove matters adhering to the jet port surface easily through a simple structure by forming a cleaning means of a substantially columnar elastic member absorbing no liquid so that it is deformed elastically upon abutting against a surface including the jet port part. SOLUTION: Matters adhering to a jet port surface 3f, i.e., a recessed bottom face, are removed by a cleaning means employing a substantially tubular hollow wiper blade 2a. The wiper blade 2a is made of a material not subjected to aging, breakage, and the like, including silicon rubber, urethane rubber, HNBR, and the like. A recessed part elongating along a series of jet ports 3g in the center of the head face 3e serves as the jet port face 3f and the series of jet ports 3g are arranged in the jet port face 3f. When a recording head is wiped, the wiper blade 2a is not only contracted but the circular hollow shape thereof is collapsed by an abutting pressure while copying the profile of the recess smoothly. Consequently, the recording head can be wiped surely up the corner of the recess without requiring the work for copying the profile of the recess accurately.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized ink jet recording apparatus and a recording head, having a mechanism for suppressing the wasteful consumption of ink at the time of recovery operation and sufficiently recovering the state of discharge orifices. SOLUTION: The introducing port communicating with an ink tank is provided to the recording head separately from discharge orifices. At the time of recovery treatment of the discharge orifices, the cap for hermetically closing the discharge orifice surface of the recording head is pressed by a piece to bring the cap and the discharge orifice surface to a close contact state and the piece is further moved to change the volume of the communication part to make the pressure in the cap negative. By this constitution, the ink fixed to the discharge orifices is sucked to be accumulated in the communication part and returned to the ink tank through the introducing port.
