Abstract:
In one embodiment, a client device determines that a client device display screen is displaying a video image as enlarged, compares received regions of a received video image with regions of the displayed video image, determines that the compared regions of the received video image are different from the regions of the displayed video image, and stores received video frames comprising the received video image in a cache memory. Related systems, apparatus, and methods are also described.
Abstract:
Techniques are described herein for establishing a network connection between a client device and a server over a network, and determining a network condition associated with engaging in an online activity by the client device over the network. In response to the network condition meeting an indicator criterion, a notification is provided to the client device prior to facilitating engagement of the client device in the online activity.
Abstract:
Techniques are presented herein to enable a first device participating in a conference session to adapt its displayed content being shared from a second device that has a larger display and can therefore display a larger area of content than the first device is capable of displaying. The first device has a first display and displays a portion of content being displayed on a second display of the second device that is being shared with the first device during an online conference session. The first device detects when a first change has occurred in the content that is outside of the portion displayed on the first display. A graphical element is displayed on the first display, the graphical element indicating that the first change has occurred in the content outside of the portion being displayed on the first device.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, a method for calculating a noise index value for a digital audio source in a server computer system that is coupled to a plurality of audio sources and configured to operate a teleconference among the plurality of digital audio sources comprises receiving a first digital audio signal from the digital audio source of the one or more digital sources. Using the server computer system, the process identifies two or more types of sounds that are represented in the first digital audio source. The types of sounds identified include at least two of: one or more human voices; a background noise; or an actionable sound that mandates further action. Using a server computer system, calculating the noise index value based upon the types of sounds identified from the first digital audio signal. The noise index value represents a summation of relative magnitudes particular types of sounds that has been identified in the first digital audio signal in relation to other types of sounds that have been identified in the first digital audio signal. The process then visually presents the noise index value to one or more client computers of the one or more digital audio sources in a user interface screen display of an audio conference manager that the one or more client computers execute.

Abstract:
Techniques are presented herein for improving experiences in online meetings that include a plurality of attendee devices, where an attendee device is designated as a presenter. Shared content is provided from the presenter to at least one other attendee device engaged in the online meeting, and an indicator is automatically provided to at least one attendee device regarding whether a condition associated with the presenter providing the shared content has been satisfied.
Abstract:
An example method is provided and includes receiving an input associated with sharing data in a virtual meeting involving a first endpoint and a second endpoint associated with a meeting in a network environment. A window associated with an application that is running on the endpoint is scanned to determine a dataset for sharing, via the virtual meeting, with the second endpoint. The method also includes identify a portion of the dataset to restrict based on analyzing the dataset against a metric. The method also includes preventing a window of the at least one window from being transmitted, via the virtual meeting, to the second endpoint based on a determination that the window includes the portion of the dataset to restrict.

Abstract:
Presented herein are techniques for detecting that a plurality of user devices are available for use by an individual to participate in an online meeting and evaluating the plurality of user devices to enable selection of an optimal user device for use during the online meeting. In one example, an online meeting server receives a request to initiate an evaluation of user devices for use by an individual/participant during an online meeting. The meeting server identifies a plurality of devices associated with the individual and sends a message to a first one of the plurality of user devices. The message enables display, to the individual, of an indication of two or more of the user devices for use during the online meeting.
