Abstract:
The invention relates to use of at least one of the compounds EPI-HNE 1, EPI-HNE 2, EPI-HNE 3 or EPI-HNE 4 for manufacture of a medicament for treatment of chronic wounds or burns. The EPI-HNE 1-4 compounds are e.g. suitable for incorporation into a wound care device, such as a dressing.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a ureteral stent having a body and a tail. The body of the stent has a renal area intended to be placed in a kidney of a patient, a ureteral area intended to be placed in at least part of a ureter of the patient, and a proximal area arranged at a proximal end of the body of the stent. The tail has at least one thread intended to end in the bladder of the patient. The proximal area is tubular, has a flexibility greater than the flexibility of the ureteral area of the stent and has through openings.
Abstract:
Provide is a skin product, which can be better tailored with respect to controlling the properties of the first and second surfaces. This is obtained by cutting holes in an adhesive matrix with a laser and subsequently filling these holes with a second material. Being able to design the exact location, orientation, distribution and/or size of the second material opens the path for adhesive products where e.g. adhesion, absorption, and permeability are controlled and balanced.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing two different patterned adhesive layers simultaneously, and a wound dressing comprising both the adhesive layers.
Abstract:
A wound dressing, said dressing comprising: - a backing layer on the non-skin-facing surface of the dressing, - an adhesive laminate on the skin-facing surface of the dressing, said laminate comprising d) a first discontinuous acrylate-based adhesive layer distal to the skin e) a support layer f) a second continuous silicone-based adhesive layer, proximal to the skin - an absorbent foam layer, said foam layer is located between the backing layer and the adhesive laminate and the foam layer is attached to the backing layer and the adhesive laminate comprises an central aperture.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing two different patterned adhesive layers simultaneously, and a wound dressing comprising both the adhesive layers.
