    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable ostomy collecting system in which connection between a collecting bag and a carrier device is maintained independently from deformation of a base plate, without generating wrinkles or gaps between the bag and a flange and a uniform and flexible adhesion surface is continuously provided.
    SOLUTION: The collecting system consists of the collecting bag having an inlet opening provided with a connecting element and the carrier device (2). The carrier device (2) has the base plate (6) and a first flange (7) connected to the base plate via the first connecting section (8). The connecting element has a second flange fixed to the collecting bag via a second connecting part and bonded to the first flange. The first flange (7) and the second flange are made from flexible and resilient materials. The two flanges are connected with the base plate 6 and the collecting bag, respectively, in such a manner that the outer radius of said second connecting section exceeds the outer radius of said first connecting section by a value which at least equals the total thickness of the two flanges. The collecting bag, and the carrier device are connected with an adhesive layer applied on the second flange and capable of adhering to the first flange.

    Abstract: A wound dressing system configured to determine an exudate uptake pattern of a wound dressing is disclosed. The wound dressing system comprises a wound dressing and a monitor device.
