Abstract:
Methods of operating a cellular radio are provided in which a first power supply signal is transmitted from a power supply to a wireless power unit at least in part over a power cable. A second power supply signal is wirelessly transmitted from the wireless power unit to the cellular radio to power the cellular radio. Data is transmitted from a baseband unit that is associated with the cellular radio to a wireless transceiver at least in part over a data cable. This data is wirelessly transmitted from the wireless transceiver to the cellular radio. The data is then transmitted through an antenna that is coupled to the cellular radio.
Abstract:
An assembly of mated coaxial connectors includes: a first connector with a first central conductor extension and a first outer conductor extension having a free end portion; and a second connector with a second central conductor extension and a second outer conductor extension having an outer body and an inner body with a gap therebetween. The first central conductor extension engages the second central conductor extension. The free end portion of the first outer conductor extension fits within the gap of the second outer conductor extension, such that the inner body applies radially outward pressure to the first outer conductor extension. At least one of the first outer conductor extension and the second outer conductor extension includes a flex member that deflects during axial engagement of the first and second connectors to apply axial pressure to the other of the first outer conductor extension and the second outer conductor extension.
Abstract:
An assembly includes: a mounting structure having a threaded member; a generally annular adapter, the adapter having threads that engage the threaded member, the adapter further including a radially outward sealing surface formed of one of the materials; an electrical cable having a connector threaded onto the threaded member, and a sealing boot that covers the connector and engages the sealing surface of the adapter.
Abstract:
A coaxial connector junction includes first and second coaxial connectors. The first coaxial connector includes: a first central conductor extension; a first outer conductor extension spaced apart from and circumferentially surrounding the first central conductor extension; and a first dielectric spacer interposed between the first central conductor extension and the first outer conductor extension. The second coaxial connector includes: a second central conductor extension; a second outer conductor extension spaced apart from and circumferentially surrounding the second central conductor extension; and a second dielectric spacer interposed between the second central conductor extension and the second outer conductor extension. Each of the central conductor extensions and the outer conductor extensions has circular symmetry about the longitudinal axis, such that electrical properties of the engaged first and second coaxial connectors are substantially the same irrespective of the relative orientations of the first and second coaxial connectors about the longitudinal axis.
