PROTECTIVE SLEEVE FOR WEATHERPROOFING BOOT FOR INTERFACE OF CABLE TO REMOTE RADIO HEAD Abstract of the Disclosure An assembly includes: a cable; a first connector attached to the cable; a second connector that mates with the first connector to form an interface; a sealing boot that encloses the interface, the sealing boot including a cable section that fits conformably over the cable; a conduit that circumferentially overlies a portion of the cable adjacent the first connector, the conduit including a plurality of first corrugations; and a protective cover that overlies the corrugations of the conduit and the sealing boot, the cover including at least one second corrugation on an inner surface thereof that interdigitates with one of the first corrugations.
Abstract:
Methods of operating a cellular radio are provided in which a first power supply signal is transmitted from a power supply to a wireless power unit at least in part over a power cable. A second power supply signal is wirelessly transmitted from the wireless power unit to the cellular radio to power the cellular radio. Data is transmitted from a baseband unit that is associated with the cellular radio to a wireless transceiver at least in part over a data cable. This data is wirelessly transmitted from the wireless transceiver to the cellular radio. The data is then transmitted through an antenna that is coupled to the cellular radio.
Abstract:
A bracket for mounting cables on an antenna pole includes: a pair of L-shaped members, each of the L-shaped members including a main panel, a pair of jaws extending from opposite edges of the main panel, and a flange extending generally perpendicularly to the main panel, wherein the main panel includes a plurality of first mounting apertures, and wherein the flange includes a plurality of second mounting apertures; a pair of rods, each rod extending through a first mounting aperture of each of the L-shaped members; and a securing component that engages each rod to fix the members relative to each other.

Abstract:
A coaxial cable-connector assembly includes a coaxial cable and a coaxial cable connector. The coaxial cable includes: a central conductor having a connector end; a dielectric layer that overlies the central conductor; and an outer conductor that overlies the dielectric layer having a connector end. The coaxial connector includes: a central conductor extension configured to mate with a mating connector at one end; a first insulative layer interposed between an opposed second end of the central conductor extension and the connector end of the central conductor; an outer conductor extension configured to mate with a mating connector at one end; and a second insulative layer interposed between an opposed second end of the outer conductor extension and the connector end of the outer conductor. This configuration can reduce and/or avoid PIM within the connection of two coaxial connectors.
Abstract:
A grommet adapted for insertion into a cable hanger includes a generally C-shaped main body formed of a polymeric material and having a longitudinal axis. Such a grommet can be securely held by a cable hanger.
Abstract:
A coaxial cable-connector assembly includes a coaxial cable and a coaxial connector. The coaxial cable includes a central conductor, an outer conductor, a dielectric layer interposed between the central conductor and the outer conductor, and a jacket overlying the outer conductor. The coaxial connector includes: a central conductor extension configured to mate with a mating connector at one end and mated with the central conductor of the coaxial cable at a second opposite end; an outer conductor extension configured to mate with the mating connector at one end attached via a solder joint to the outer conductor of the coaxial cable at a second opposite end; and a dielectric spacer positioned between and separating the central conductor extension and the outer conductor extension, the dielectric spacer further positioned adjacent the solder joint to inhibit solder flow away from the solder joint.
Abstract:
A hollow cover boot formed of an elastomeric material includes, in merging succession, a cable collar, a main section, a transition section, and an interconnection section, wherein the main section has a diameter greater than the cable collar and the interconnection section, and the transition section tapers between the main section and the cable collar.
Abstract:
A weatherproofed interconnection junction includes: a first cable having a first connector at one end; a second connector; a sealing cylinder with an internal cavity, wherein the first connector and second connector are joined and reside within the cavity; and an elastomeric sealing boot having a cable section and a connector section. The first cable is conformably received in the cable section and the sealing cylinder is conformably received in the connector section.
