    Abstract: Base station antennas include an array of radiating elements that includes multiple columns of radiating elements, with each column including multiple radiating elements, a first phase shifter configured to change a phase of a radio frequency (RF) signal of a first frequency band for transmission in a beam forming mode, a second phase shifter configured to change a phase of an RF signal of a second frequency band for transmission in a multi-beam mode, where the RF signal of the second frequency band includes first and second beam signals, a multi-beam device configured to generate an output signal according to the phase shifted first beam signal and the phase shifted second beam signal, and a diplexer configured to receive the phase shifted RF signal of the first frequency band and the output signal of the multi-beam device, and transmit an output signal to the corresponding radiating elements.

    Abstract: A coupling device includes a plurality of couplers. Each coupler includes a transmission main line and a coupling subline. The transmission main line is used for providing an input end and an output end. The coupling subline is coupled with the transmission main line to provide two coupling ends. The coupling subline includes two first parts located on opposite sides of the transmission main line and a second part connected between the two first parts. The coupling sublines of the plurality of couplers are connected in series to provide a first coupling output port and a second coupling output port. The first part of the coupling subline of at least one of the plurality of couplers has a shared section with the second part of the coupling subline of an adjacent one of the plurality of couplers.

    Abstract: A base station antenna includes a backplane and a plurality of radiating elements that extend forwardly from the backplane. The antenna further includes a plurality of feed boards, and each of the feed boards has a respective group of one or more of the radiating elements mounted thereon. The antenna also includes a calibration port and a calibration circuit that has a calibration combiner that has an output that is coupled to the calibration port and a plurality of directional couplers that are coupled to the calibration combiner. At least a first portion of a first of the first directional couplers is implemented on a first of the feed boards.

    Abstract: Antennas include first and second radiating elements that are configured to operate in respective operating frequency bands. The first radiating element includes a first dipole arm that has a first conductive path and a second conductive path that is positioned behind the first conductive path. The first conductive path includes a plurality of first segments and the second conductive path includes a plurality of second segments, where a subset of the first segments overlap respective ones of second segments to form a plurality of pairs of overlapping first and second segments. At least some of the pairs of overlapping segments are configured so that the instantaneous direction of a first current formed on the first segment in response to RF radiation emitted by the second radiating element will be substantially opposite the instantaneous direction of a second current formed on the second segment in response to the RF radiation.
