Abstract:
A chemiluminescent glow spike includes a hand tool having a transparent plastic tube portion as a shell container for a first agent of a liquid chemiluminescent material and for a glass vial containing a second agent of the liquid chemiluminescent material. A distal end of the transparent plastic tube portion is formed with a penetrating spike portion to mount a comestible article by a user. Application of an external force to the transparent plastic tube containing the glass vial breaks the glass vial to cause the first and second agents to intermix to activate the liquid chemiluminescent material to provide a fluorescent/luminescent effect.
Abstract:
An improved golf grip, for a putter golf club wherein the front surface of the grip is curved upward at the butt, and tip ends of the grip from the axis of the club shaft. The grip is formed around two intersecting longitudinal axes wherein said axes run through the axis of the shaft. The upward curved front surface of the grip allows a golfer to hold the grip of the putter with his or her hands in a natural position at address, (the position that a golfer takes in preparation for making a putt), reducing unwanted tension/stress in the hands thus enabling the golfer to produce a straight backward and forward putting stroke and keep the putter face square to the intended target line further resulting in more accurate and consistent putts.
Abstract:
The specification discloses a method for making a paper material having a reduced tendency to cut human skin. The method includes providing a papermaking furnish containing cellulosic fibers and from about 0.5 to about 5.0 wt % by weight dry basis expandable microspheres, forming a paperboard web from the papermaking furnish, drying the web, and calendaring the web to a caliper of from about 11.0 to about 18.0 mils and a density ranging from about 7.0 to about 12.0 lb/3000 ft2/mil. Papers formed according to the method and articles formed therefrom are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high capacity electrochemical cell including an anode, a cathode, and a separator disposed between the anode and cathode. The anode is configured to operate in combination with a quantity of an oxide of copper in the cathode. The cell is capable of operating at a discharge voltage greater than 1.05 volts for at least an initial 5% of a cell discharge period at a current density of at least 5 mA/g, and can include a cathode active material that includes an oxide of copper.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high capacity electrochemical cell having a cathode containing an oxide of copper as an active material, as well as an anode, an electrolyte, and separators for use with the cathodes of the invention in an alkaline electrochemical cell.

Abstract:
An apparatus for cutting stone which utilizes both a circular saw and a water jet. Both the saw and the water jet are mounted on a gantry, which moves along tracks. All the parts are under the control of the CNC device. The saw is used for straight cuts and curves where possible. The water jet, which is slower and more expensive to operate is only used where the saw cannot be used. The water jet is used to finish a saw cut to avoid any overtravel.

Abstract:
A vacuum pump system for a prosthesis includes an enhanced suspension mechanism and incorporates a vacuum pump system, an adaptor assembly, circuitry, and a power source. A virtually air-tight seal between a residual limb and a socket of the prosthesis allows a vacuum fit to be generated by the pump system. The pump system may be controlled with various circuits and processors receiving instructions from a software program. The pump system may be located within a pylon, but yet remain vibrationally and acoustically de-coupled from the pylon.

A vacuum pump system for a prosthesis device includes an enhanced suspension mechanism and cooperates with a pressure source, an adaptor assembly, circuitry, and a power source. A virtually air-tight seal between a residual limb and a socket of the prosthesis allows a vacuum fit to be generated by the pump system. The pump system may be controlled with various circuits and processors receiving instructions from a software program.
