Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to methods and arrangements for re-establishing packet data transfer between a radio base station and a wireless device following radio link failure, the radio base station having pre-configured wireless device information. The RBS receives (S71) a request for re-establishment of the radio link from the wireless device. One or more DRBs are selected (S72) for re-establishment based on the pre-configured wireless device information. The RBS transmits (S73) a radio link re-establishment response to the wireless device comprising information about the selected one or more DRBs. The selected one or more DRBs are re-established upon receipt (S74) of a re-establishment confirmation from the wireless device, where upon packet data transfer is resumed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an arrangement, a communication network node and a user equipment allowing for probing of alternative antenna configurations in a communication network system as well as a method for such probing. The method comprises making one of the reconfigurable antennas (15a2, 15b2) of at least one cell (19a, 19b) temporarily available for probing and reconfiguring one or more antenna parameters thereof in accordance with a probing antenna parameter set. A new probe cell (20a, 20b) is transmitted from the prepared antenna (15a2, 15b2) and measurement reports collected from the user equipments (18) within the at least one cell (19a, 19b) and the probe cell (20a, 20b). The probing antenna parameter set is evaluated based on the collected measurement reports whereupon is determined if the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) of the cell shall use the probing antenna parameter set or the initial antenna parameter set. Finally the probing cell (20a, 20b) is removed and the antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) adjusted in accordance with the determination.
Abstract:
A method of signalling a set cell identities in a cellular radio system from a transmitter to a receiver is provided. The method includes coding of a sequence of cell identities using a range indicator. The coded sequence is then signalling using the coded sequence. The range indicator can be an implicit range indicator or an explicit range indicator.
Abstract:
Device, computer readable medium and method for joint multi-user processing in a first base station of a telecommunication network, which includes at least a second base station and first and second terminals served by the corresponding first and second base stations. The method includes issuing, at the first base station, a first uplink transmission grant for the first terminal; receiving, at the first base station, from the second base station scheduling information about an uplink transmission of the second terminal, wherein an uplink transmission grant for the uplink transmission of the second terminal is issued by the second base station; and jointly decoding, at the first base station, an uplink transmission from the first terminal and the uplink transmission from the second terminal, which is not served by the first base station, based on the received scheduling information about the uplink transmission of the second terminal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates a radio network node (204, 304) and methods therein for coordinating paging commands. A method comprises receiving paging command information related to a UE from a paging controller node, where the paging command information comprises a list of radio network nodes. Within method a radio network node then obtains information about available physical radio resources (S-218, S-326, 406, 506) of a second radio network node (206, 306), for paging, and determines physical radio resources (S-220, S-328, 408, 508) to be used for transmitting a paging command for the UE, and transmits information related to a paging command (S-222, S-330, 410, 510 for the UE, to said second radio network node (206, 306).
Abstract:
A method in a base station for assisting a network management unit in managing a cellular network is provided. The base station determines a status of the cellular network. The status affects a measurement of a quality of a radio channel between the base station and a user equipment comprised in the cellular network. The measurement is to be performed by the user equipment. The base station receives a feedback report from the user equipment comprising the measurement. The base station evaluates a validity of the measurement based on the determined status. The base station sends a report to the network management unit. The report comprises an indication of the measurement and an indication of the validity, thereby assisting the network management unit in managing the cellular network.
Abstract:
A method in at least one radio network node for handling earner selection comprises measuring at least one of interference or load levels on at least two uplink carriers, said measurement being performed in at least one sector of each carrier, calculating an offset based on said measured Interference or said measured load levels on the at least two uplink carriers, said offset reflecting the interference or load difference between the uplink carriers, and signaling said offset to a communication device, thereby allowing said communication device to base its carrier selection for random access at least on said measured interference or load levels on said at least two uplink carriers.
