Abstract: An electronic transaction is made between a seller and two or more customers by performing an initial transaction between a first customer of the two or more customers and the seller, wherein the initial transaction provides the seller with an identity of the first customer, an amount to be paid by the first customer and identities of a remaining group of the two or more customers. A subsequent transaction is then performed between the seller and each customer identified by the remaining group of the two or more customers. The subsequent transaction provides the seller with information that completes the electronic transaction.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for providing privacy to a client accessing a chat application on a chat server via the Internet wherein a request is transmitted for a chat application from a client to a first proxy server. The request is forwarded from the first proxy server to a second proxy server. In response to the receipt of the request at the second proxy server, a unique ID is forwarded back to the first proxy server and the request along with the unique ID are forwarded on to the chat server. A response to the request is transmitted from the chat server back to the second proxy server along with the originally provided unique ID. The response and unique ID are stored within the second proxy server and may be accessed form the first proxy server by providing the unique ID.

The intermediary proxy server comprises means for verifying the genuinity of a certificate requested over said second communication protocol from the personal profile protection server against a published certificate and the service/information/content server can request, via the API, personal profile data and personal profile data is delivered according to end user preferences or in such a manner that there is no association between the actual end user and the personal profile data of the end user.

Abstract: The present invention involves a user agent (100) requesting a cookie- associated resource over Internet from a content provider (200) on behalf of a user. In response thereto, the content provider (200) transmits a privacy policy file, describing the content provider~s policy regarding usage of cookies and privacy data in connection with the resource, to the user agent (100). The agent (100) then generates a cookie receipt specifying whether th e user accepts the policy and, thus, accepts that the content provider sets a cookie on the user equipment (300). The receipt is transmitted to the conten t provider (200), e.g. in the HTTP header of a get resource message. In case o f a positive receipt, the content provider (200) provides the requested resour ce and sets the cookie. If a negative receipt, a cookie-less version of the resource if provided to the user equipment (300).
