Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to imaging kits, imaging systems, and methods of forming images. In one example, an imaging kit includes an imaging medium and a film-promoting fluid. The imaging medium includes a substrate, a color layer on the substrate, and an opaque concealing layer over the color layer. The color layer includes a pattern of color regions, wherein individual color regions include multiple adjacently-applied colors. The opaque concealing layer includes transparent polymer particles having a glass transition temperature from about 20 °C to about 120 °C. The film-promoting fluid includes a film-promoting additive that reduces the glass transition temperature of the transparent polymer particles after contact therewith.

Abstract: Imaging medium includes an image-receiving substrate including a color- forming layer, a donor ribbon attached to the image-receiving substrate and including a color layer, and a repeated pattern. The repeated pattern is defined by a portion of each of the color-forming layer and color layer. A repeat of the pattern includes at least three adjacent colored stripes including a cyan or cyan-forming stripe, a magenta or magenta-forming stripe, and a yellow or yellow-forming stripe. A first of the at least three adjacent stripes is a color-forming stripe in the color-forming layer. A second of the at least three adjacent stripes is a colored stripe in the color layer. A third of the at least three adjacent stripes is either a second color-forming stripe in the color-forming layer or a second colored stripe in the color layer of the donor ribbon.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to ink compositions including from 30 wt% to 75 wt% water, an organic co-solvent system, from 0.1 wt% to 3 w% nonionic surfactant, and from 3 wt% to 9 wt% pigment that is dispersed by separate polymer dispersant. The organic co-solvent system can include, based on the ink composition content, from 15 wt% to 50 wt% of a first solvent portion of high dielectric constant co-solvent with a dielectric constant greater than 30 ε, and from 2 wt% to 15 wt% of a second solvent portion of low dielectric constant co-solvent with a dielectric constant from 1 ε to 30 ε.

Abstract: A printed article with metallic luster and gold-like appearance that encompasses a printable media on which a printed feature has been formed with an ink composition. The ink composition contains iron oxide pigment particles that have an average particle 5 size in the range of about 3 to about 300 nm and the printable media contains a bottom supporting substrate and an ink-absorbing layer with pore diameters that are smaller than the average size of the iron oxide pigment particles. In such printed article, the ink composition forms onto the printable media a printed feature that has a thickness that is below about 300 nm.

Abstract: Compositions, systems, and methods of printing an ink-jet image are provided. The composition can be an ink-jet ink, comprising a liquid vehicle, a pigmented colorant, and a wax emulsion. The wax emulsion can be present at from about 0.1 wt% to about 20 wt%, preferably 0.1 wt% to 10 wt%, and more preferably from 0.1 wt% to 5 wt% solid content of the ink-jet ink composition. Additionally, upon printing the ink-jet ink on a media substrate compared to printing a comparative ink-jet ink composition on a media substrate, the ink-jet ink composition exhibits improved alkaline highlighter smear fastness compared to the comparative ink-jet ink composition.

Abstract: An example of an imaging medium includes an image-receiving substrate, a donor ribbon attached to the image-receiving substrate, and a registration mark. The color-forming layer includes a repeated pattern. A repeat of the pattern includes at least three adjacent color-forming stripes including a cyan-forming stripe, a magenta-forming stripe, and a yellow-forming stripe, or a grid of four color-forming sections including i) a color-forming section selected from the group consisting of black-forming, cyan-forming, light cyan-forming, yellow-forming, magenta-forming, and light magenta-forming, ii) a cyan-forming section, iii) a magenta-forming section, and iv) a yellow-forming section. The color-forming layer is in contact with the image-receiving substrate.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to an ink composition including an aqueous liquid vehicle, from 2 wt% to 7 wt% self-dispersed pigment dispersed in the aqueous liquid vehicle, and from 0.5 wt% to 5 wt% acidic polymeric binder particles having an acid number from 30 to 200 and a particle size from 1 nm to 100 nm dispersed in the aqueous liquid vehicle.
