    Abstract: A die for a thermal drop-on-demand fluid-ejection device includes thermal firing resistors, low-side switches, and high-side switches. The thermal firing resistors are organized over resistor groups such that each thermal firing resistor is located within only one of the resistor groups. The resistor groups are lesser in number than the thermal firing resistors. Each thermal firing resistor has a first end and a second end. The low-side switches are equal in number to the thermal firing resistors. Each low-side switch connects the second end of a corresponding thermal firing resistor to a low voltage. The high-side switches are equal in number to the resistor groups. Each high-side switch connects the first ends of the thermal firing resistors of a corresponding resistor group to power providing a voltage greater than the low voltage.

    Abstract: Examples include a fluidic die. The fluidic die comprises an array of field effect transistors. Connecting members electrically connect at least some of the field effect transistors of the array of field effect transistors, and the field effect transistors of the array are arranged into respective sets of field effect transistors. The fluidic die further comprises a first fluid actuator connected to a first set of field effect transistors having a first number of field effect transistors. The die includes a second fluid actuator connected to a second respective set of field effect transistors having a second number of field effect transistors that is different than the first number of field effect transistors.

    Abstract: A microfluidic device for validating fluidic uniformity may include a chamber defined in the microfluidic device. and a plurality of sensors located within the chamber. The plurality of sensors being positioned within the chamber in a symmetrical location about a least one element of the chamber. The microfluidic device may also include control logic to activate the sensors to measure a property of a fluid within the chamber and determine whether the element affects the measurement of the property of the fluid provided by the sensors. The control logic may also, in response to a determination that the element does not affect the measurement of the property of the fluid provided by the sensors, determine if the property measured by all the sensors at their respective symmetrical locations within the chamber are uniform within a range of values. The control logic may also, in response to a determination that the element does affect the measurement of the property of the fluid provided by the sensors, measure the property between symmetric pairs of the sensors.

    Abstract: A fluidic die includes a plurality of fluid chambers, each fluid chamber including an electrode exposed to an interior of the fluid chamber and having a corresponding fluid actuator operating a high voltage separated from the fluid chamber and electrode by an insulating material, and monitoring circuitry, operating at a low voltage, to monitor a condition of each fluid chamber. For each fluid chamber the monitoring circuitry includes a sense node and a conductor connecting the electrode to the sense node, the conductor having a geometry to form at least one region of higher current density relative to remaining portions of the conductor, the at least one region of higher current density to fail and create an open to protect the low-voltage monitoring circuitry in response to a fault current caused by a short circuit of the high voltage fluid actuator to the electrode.

    Abstract: In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic die is described is described. The fluidic die includes an array of fluid actuators grouped into zones. Each zone includes a number of fluid actuators and at least one fault detection device. The fault detection device includes a comparator to compare at least one of a representation of a supply voltage and a return voltage supplied to the zone against a voltage threshold. The fault detection device also includes a fault capture device to store an output of the comparator.
