Abstract: PURPOSE: To individually control the capability of a user and the acknowledgement right to access a space by providing an access register which includes an access list entry token and operating the token. CONSTITUTION: The token included in the access register 22 specifies a space indirectly, so a nonprivileged instruction or subroutine can save and use the contents of the register 22 for another purpose and restores the contents. Therefore, the control and acknowledgement right of the address space can be corrected by operating the token. Further, the definitions of the address space of a system are given from a 2nd table and central control is therefore enabled. Many users have access lists and are then able to access the address space, and >=2 entries can indicate the same 2nd entry. Consequently, the capability of a user and the acknowledgement right to address the space can separately be controlled.
