Abstract: [PROBLEMS] To improve read accuracy of invisible information printed toge ther with visible information on a medium such as paper. To enable input of a parameter of a value more approximate to the real one into a system to sim ulate environment data and the like during extraction by using color data on each of the visible ink used for printing the background and an invisible b ar code, the indivisible ink, and a physical medium (itself). [MEANS FOR SOL VING PROBLEMS] It is possible to easily input a parameter for simulation use d in an invisible code printing support system by imaging a sample print pre pared for parameter acquisition by using a ~parameter acquiring device~ to s erve as a standard of devices corresponding to the invention of an ~electron ic scrap system~, capturing the image into a DTP system, and reading the col or data on a necessary region into a parameter DB. Since it is unnecessary t o experimentally create and input the parameter and input it as a value, and since a physical medium and an ink both actually used are used as they are, their optical characteristics difficult to numericalize and the influence o f the blue component emitted by an ultraviolet LED emitting ultraviolet ligh t, which is invisible, can be inputted together as an image, the parameter h aving a high reproduction accuracy in actual use can be inputted, and a prin ted sheet with high read accuracy can be produced.

Abstract: The present invention prevents embedded verification information (eg a watermark) from being lost even when a quantization process is performed after verification information has been embedded. A pre-embedding portion 32 converts a image data value so that quantized values not changing by error introduced through the embedding process. A hash value calculator 300 calculates a hash value using image data and key information, and a hash value embedding portion 302 embeds the hash value in the image data. An output format converter 304 quantizes the image data in which the hash value is embedded, and generates JPEG data.
