Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily recognize a transfer error of a header part, including an ID at transfer of data from the host side, to the display side in a packet form. SOLUTION: In an image display method, which transfers images between a host side 10 executing an application and a display side 30 via a digital interface 50, the host side 10 manages image data as one set according to sub-areas, into which a display area on the display side 30 is divided, with respect to windows which are areas having a meaning collectively in an image space to which the application pay attention, and this set of image data is taken as one unit of packets, and sequence information indicating the sequence of package is added to transfer image data to the display side 30, and display side 30 expands transferred image data on a panel memory 36 and detects the dropout of packets, on the basis of sequence information, and the host side 10 recognizes the condition of missing packet via control signal line 60.

SOLUTION: In this picture displaying method for transferring a picture between a host side 10 for executing an application and a display side 30 for operating picture display, picture data belonging to a window being an area having meanings as a group in a picture space recognized by the application are managed as a group by the host side 10 according to sub-areas obtained by dividing the display area of the display side 30, and the picture data as a group are transferred through a digital I/F 50 to the display side 30 as one packet unit, and the transferred picture data are developed to a panel memory 36 of the display side 30, and the situation of the transfer error is captured by the window unit, and the situation of the transfer error is captured through a control signal line 60 by the host side 10.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power unit which has excellent power efficiency. SOLUTION: This power unit has a 1st power source part including a chopping transistor 2, a 2nd power source part including a chopping transistor 18, and a discharge lamp turning-on circuit part including a chopping transistor 35. In this case, a current detector 31 detects the current flowing to a load resistance 8 and a voltage comparator 32 compares it with a reference voltage 33. When the load current is below a specific level, a transistor 30 is turned off with the output of the voltage comparator 32. Consequently, a control circuit of the 2nd power source part and a driving circuit of the chopping transistor 18 are powered off and the 2nd power source part stops operating. Thereafter, the load resistance 8 at light load time is supplied power by the 1st power source part.
