Abstract:
In order to enable the reception of signals on a moving personal station PS within an IVD (Integrated Voice and Data) system network which comprises the available PBX and LAN, a first all station CS registers the LAN identifier of a first PS in accordance with the first PS that is present within its own radio cell, and assigns a PBX telephone number to the first PS. Subsequently, a calling information which includes a LAN identifier for a second PS and the PBX telephone number assigned to the first PS is broadcast via a LAN. Thereafter, a second CS which registers the LAN identifier of the second PS receives the calling information via a LAN and transfers the information of the second mobile station via radio link. The second PS then dials the PBX telephone number included in the calling information. Thus, the link between the first PS and the second PS is connected when the first PS receives the calling.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method which detect a plurality of data storage devices actually disposed in a data storage system and then turn on power sources of the detected data storage device. SOLUTION: A method is disclosed to provide power to the plurality of data storage devices disposed in the data storage system. The data storage system comprises a system controller comprising a data storage device power-up algorithm and a plurality of data storage devices, where each of the plurality of data storage devices cannot automatically provide a device present signal. The method detects the presence of each of the plurality of data storage devices, and then provides power to each of the detected data storage devices using the data storage device power-up algorithm. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the bottle neck of a control device caused in a large-scale storage system. SOLUTION: This storage system for storing a set of data block and redundant block comprises a plurality of control parts which control a plurality of storage devices respectively; a host connection part for selecting a control part for controlling a storage device for storing a writing data block of a writing object; and a transfer part for transferring the write data block to this control part. Each of the control parts has a data block writing part for writing the writing data block transferred by the transfer part to the storage device for storing the writing data block; a redundant block update request part for requesting update of redundant block to a control part for controlling a storage device for storing a redundant block; and a redundant block update part for updating, when update of redundant block is requested from another control part, the redundant block stored in the storage device controlled by this control part.
