Abstract:
Embodiments of sleep-mode statistics apparatus, systems, and methods are described generally herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Abstract:
A 3GPP monitoring architecture framework provides monitoring event configuration, detection, and reporting for machine-type and other mobile data applications using a machine type communication interworking function (MTC-IWF) that communicates monitoring event configuration, detection, and reporting messages through existing interfaces, such as Tsp, T4, and T5 interfaces.
Abstract:
The apparatus has uplink (UL) control information (UCI) circuitry to generate UCI including periodic channel state information (p-CSI) that correspond with serving cells or CSI processes. A feedback circuitry is coupled with the UCI circuitry, where the feedback circuitry determines UL transmitting power to transmit the UCI with a physical UL control channel (PUCCH) format-3 based on a radio resource control (RRC) parameter that corresponds to p-CSI transmissions. A RRC layer receives the RRC parameter from network equipment. The serving cells are primary serving cells. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer-readable media comprising a set of instructions for facilitating UL power control for physical UL control channel (2) a user equipment.
Abstract:
Generally, this disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for improved coverage estimation of wireless cellular networks through User Equipment (UE) idle mode measurement and reporting. A UE may include a signal measurement module to measure a reference signal received power (RSRP) of a serving cell of the UE, the UE in an idle mode, and to determine if the RSRP is below a threshold value. The UE may also include a cell search and selection module to search for a neighbor cell in response to determining that the RSRP is below the threshold value, and to camp on the neighbor cell if the search succeeds. The UE may further include a data logging module to log information associated with the neighbor cell, if the neighbor cell search succeeds and to log information associated with the serving cell, if the neighbor cell search fails.
Abstract:
The apparatus (302) has a receiving circuit system (322) to receive data representative of radio link failure reports having information relating to disconnection of user equipment (314) of Evolved universal mobile telecommunication system (UMTS) Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN). Coverage analysis circuit system (324) identifies a hole in a network coverage area partially based on one of the reports. A corrective action circuit system (326) executes an automated action of coverage optimization and capacity to reconfigure resources of a network cell based on the hole. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for identifying a coverage hole (2) a method for adjusting coverage executable by a network management apparatus (3) an evolved node associated with E-UTRAN.
Abstract:
Technology is discussed for capturing performance measurements from Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) transmission points and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Access Points (AP). The performance measurements can provide information about the interworking a WWAN and one or more WLANs that can be used to offload traffic from the WWAN. Also, an illustrative example of the collection of performance measurements at a WWAN is explained. Furthermore, the correlation, analysis, and general harnessing of performance measurements to optimize and/or maintain combinations between a WWAN and one or more WLANs is discussed, among other topics.
