Abstract: An apparatus and methods are provided for paging in a HSDPA connected mode CELL_PCH or URA_PCH state. Preferably, a WTRU is configured to select various PICH information that is broadcast by a base station. The WTRU is preferably configured to receive paging messages, based on the selected PICH information. In one embodiment, a preferred WTRU is configured to receive paging messages, based on a PICH, a HS-SCCH, and a HS-PDSCH. In another embodiment, a preferred WTRU is configured to receive paging messages, based on a PICH and a HS-PDSCH. In both embodiments, a time delay parameter is preferably used so that the WTRU may listen for either the HS-SCCH or HS-PDSCH for a period of time and return to a sleep mode if no paging message is received.

Abstract: A method implemented in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for transmitting a channel quality indication (CQI) report or other measurement report begins by receiving a trigger. A CQI report is transmitted to a handover target Node B until a stop condition is reached. The WTRU will stop transmitting CQI reports to the target Node B if the stop condition is reached. Abstract: Abstract A method and apparatus for generating and processing a MAC-ehs PDU are disclosed. In a Node-B, MAC-ehs SDUs received from an upper layer are multiplexed based on a logical channel identity. Reordering PDUs are generated from the multiplexed MAC-ehs SDUs from different logical channels mapped to a priority queue. A reordering PDU includes at least one MAC-ehs SDU and/or at least one MAC-ehs SDU segment. A MAC-ehs SDU is segmented on a priority class basis if a MAC-ehs SDU does not fit into a reordering PDU. A MAC-ehs PDU is generated including at least one reordering PDU. The multiplexed MAC-ehs SDUs may be stored in a corresponding priority queue before generating the reordering PDUs, Alternatively, the reordering PDUs may be generated from the multiplexed MAC-ehs SDUs and the reordering PDUs may be stored in a corresponding priority queue.
