The carrying element (1) comprises at least one test element (8), wherein the test element (8) is connected by at least one connecting device (2) and is linked to a measuring device (50), with the result that an electric resistance of the test element (8) can be determined by the measuring device (50), wherein the electric resistance of the test element (8) changes as a result of an elongation of the test element (8), so that at least one of the following states of the elevator system (40) can be determined by a measurement of the electric resistance of the test element (8): a load of the car (41), or a slack carrying element (1), or a tensioning difference between at least two carrying elements (1), or damage of the carrying element (1).

Abstract: A synthetic fiber cable has the strands of a strand layer mutually spaced apart. With the mutual spacing, the strands of the outer strand layer can move radially in the direction of the cable center and exert a radial pressure on the strands of the first inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the first inner strand layer to the strands of the second inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the second inner strand layer to the core strand. The radial pressure increases inwardly from strand layer to strand layer. The soft cable sheathing does not act as a support between the strands in circumferential direction.

Abstract: In an elevator installation, an apparatus and a method use a support end connection for fastening a support device to an elevator car, a counterweight and/or a building. The support device has at least one cable or cable strand enclosed by a cable casing and is held in a wedge pocket by a wedge. The cable casing is formed of thermoplastic material or an elastomer and the cable or the cable strand is glued to, fused together with or mechanically connected with the cable casing in the region of the support end connection. A friction force transmitted from the support end connection to the cable casing can then be directly passed on to the load-bearing core of the support device, to the cables or to the cable strands. The tolerable tension force in the support device is increased. The support device is preferably a multiple cable.

Asi, la fuerza de friccion transmitida por la union final del medio portante a la envolvente de cable, se transmite directamente al nucleo portante del medio portante hasta los cables o cordones de cable. La fuerza de traccion admisible en el medio portante se incrementa. (Figura 7).
