Abstract: An elevator system includes an elevator car movable in an elevator shaft, a suspension means extending in the elevator shaft, a drive machine associated with the suspension means and a controllable coupling apparatus arranged on the elevator car. The suspension means has a coupling element that the coupling apparatus can be coupled to by assuming a coupled position and from which the coupling apparatus can be uncoupled by assuming an uncoupled position, as a result of which a drive connection between the elevator car and the suspension means can be established and released. The elevator system has a securing device that can assume a securing position and a release position and that, in the securing position, secures the coupling apparatus in the coupled position against leaving the coupled position.

Abstract: A cable brake includes a pair of brake shoes having braking surfaces facing one another and between which a brake cable is guided. A first brake shoe is movable between a braking position, pressing the cable against the braking surface of the other brake shoe, and a release position, releasing the cable between the brake shoes. A releasable retaining device retains the first brake shoe in the release position, and/or a reset device switches the first brake shoe from the braking position to the release position. Two rotatably mounted pivot arms connected to the first brake shoe are arranged in a parallelogram with one side oriented in parallel with the cable guidance direction. A switchable electromagnet of the retaining device holds the first brake shoe in the release position. The brake shoes, pivot arms, retaining device and reset device are arranged in a housing connected to an elevator car.

Abstract: An elevator installation braking device is actuated and reset by an electromechanical actuator including an energy store, a retaining device, a resetting device and at least one connecting element for connecting the actuator to the elevator brake. The resetting device retains the connecting element, via the retaining device and counter to the action of the energy store, in a first operating position, corresponding to a standby position of the brake, or guides the actuator back into this position. The energy store acts as required, upon release of the retaining device, on the connecting element to actuate the brake and to bring it into a corresponding engagement position. The resetting device has a recoil-prevention device to relieve recoil forces. The energy store can have a stop buffer to reduce the force impact when the energy store strikes an end position.
