Abstract: A building security system includes an emergency communications system of an elevator installation, and a building alarm system. The emergency communications system has a communications interface to couple the emergency communications system to a remote elevator service central in an emergency situation, and an emergency call panel arranged in an elevator car to allow a passenger to communicate with the remote elevator service central via the communications interface while in the elevator car during the emergency situation. The building alarm system includes a plurality of sensor units arranged at predetermined locations of the building and selected to detect predetermined building events. The building alarm system is communicatively coupled to the emergency communications system of the elevator installation for communicating the building event to the elevator service central via the emergency communications system of the elevator installation, and/or for receiving an action request from the remote elevator service central via the communications interface of the emergency communications system.

Abstract: A transportation system for a building with multiple floors includes a shaft, a traction sheave drive type elevator and a lift. The elevator that vertically conveys persons has an elevator car which is movable in the shaft and at least two counterweights which are movable together with the car in the shaft in a direction of movement opposite to the direction of movement of the elevator car. The elevator car and the counterweights are driven by drive engines with traction sheaves. The lift that vertically conveys objects may be a self-propelled lift. A lift platform of the lift overlaps at least partly a vertical projection of the elevator car, whereby preferably the vertical projection of the lift platform is smaller than the vertical projection of the elevator car.

Abstract: An automatically controlled door arrangement, such as a floor door of an elevator installation, includes: at least one door leaf actively moveable between an open position and a closed position; a drive moving the door leaf between the open and closed positions; a controller controlling the drive; a sensor system detecting people or objects in front of the door leaf; and a data connection for data exchange with an external computer. The door arrangement receives and processes signals from the sensor system in the controller, sends query data to the external computer via the data connection based on the processed signals, receives instruction data from the external computer, and controls the door leaf drive taking into account the instruction data. The door arrangement provides monitorable, automated and, if possible, stepless access to buildings, for example, for robots, or receiving and storing delivered goods through the door arrangement.

Abstract: A control system for an elevator is separated into a first assembly allocated outside and a second assembly allocated inside an elevator shaft. The first assembly includes a power switch for turning on/off the control system, a light switch for switching a light inside the shaft, a safety unit for protecting electrical safety of the control system, a communication unit for data communication with the elevator and/or an external communication device, and a bypass device for bypassing a safety chain of the elevator. The second assembly includes a power supply system for driving the elevator and/or for the safety chain, a monitoring system for monitoring the safety chain, a drive control unit for a drive motor, and a processor for data processing of the control system. The first assembly and the second assembly can communicate with each other and be connected respectively as segments into the safety chain.
