Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a substrate; a plurality of pixels; a first anisotropic diffusion layer and a second anisotropic diffusion layer that are layered; and a plurality of light emitting elements interposed between the first anisotropic diffusion layer and the substrate. The first anisotropic diffusion layer and the second anisotropic diffusion layer each include a high refractive index region and a low refractive index region in a mixed manner. An absolute value of a first angle formed by a boundary between the high refractive index region and the low refractive index region of the first anisotropic diffusion layer and a direction perpendicular to the substrate is different from an absolute value of a second angle formed by a boundary between the high refractive index region and the low refractive index region of the second anisotropic diffusion layer and the direction perpendicular to the substrate.

Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to avoid the domain in high definition liquid crystal display devices. The representative structure is as follows. Scan lines extending in a first direction, video signal lines extending in a second direction, a pixel is formed in an area surrounded by the video signal lines and the scan lines, the pixel includes: a thin film transistor, a flattening film that covers the thin film transistor, a first electrode formed on the flattening film, a second electrode formed over the first electrode via an insulating film, and a contact hole that is formed in the flattening film to connect the first electrode and the thin film transistor; the second electrode is formed in common in plural pixels, and has a slit between the video signal lines; wherein the slit is formed continuously in a plurality of pixels arranged in the second direction.

Abstract: A pixel electrode is configured of one comb tooth portion and a contact portion whose width is widened from the end portion of the comb tooth portion in a first direction that is the extending direction of a scanning line. The width of the contact portion is not expanded in a direction opposite to the first direction, and the production of a domain is prevented. A picture signal line is bent in the direction in which the width of the contact portion of the pixel electrode is widened, so that the comb tooth portion of the pixel electrode can be disposed in the center between the picture signal lines, and the width of the contact portion can be formed in a sufficient width in the direction in which the picture signal line is bent. Thus, the contact margin of the pixel electrode can be provided.

Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device having wall structures, the generation of low-temperature shock bubbles is suppressed. Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels, a light emitting element, and an inorganic insulating layer. The pixels are provided to the substrate. The light emitting element is provided to each of the pixels. The inorganic insulating layer has translucency and covers at least part of the light emitting element. The inorganic insulating layer includes a side part and an extending part. The side part is provided to the side surface of the light emitting element. The extending part is provided at a side on the lower end of the side part and extending toward the outer side of the light emitting element than the side part in planar view seen from the normal direction of the substrate.
