Abstract: Detergent compositions each of which comprises (A) at least one phosphate ester or a salt thereof represented by the following formula (1): wherein R represents a C8-C18 hydrocarbon group, m stands for a number of from 0 to 10 on weight average, X represents H, an alkali metal atom, ammonium, a basic amino acid residual group, or an alkanolamino group having a hydroxy(C2-C3 alkyl) group, and R represents -(CH2CH2O)m-R or X, or a mixture thereof, and (B) at least one glyceryl ether having a C4-C12 alkyl or alkenyl group. These detergent compositions are low in skin irritation and are good in foaming performance.

Abstract: An aqueous liquid detergent composition comprises: (A) 1 to 50 wt.% of a surfactant selected from an anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant or an amphoteric surfactant; (B) 0.3 to 5 wt.% of a long-chain fatty acid glycol ester represented by the following formula (1): wherein R represents a linear or branched, C13-23 alkyl or alkenyl group, n stands for an integer of 1 to 3, and A represents H or and (C) 0.1 to 10 wt.% of a glyceryl ether having one or more linear or branched, C4-12 alkyl or alkenyl groups.

Abstract: Compuesto hidráulico, que comprende un material hidráulico y un derivado de polisacárido preparado por sustitución de la totalidad o una parte de los átomos de hidrógeno del hidroxilo de un polisacárido o derivado de polisacárido por (A) un sustituyente alquil gliceril éter, en el que el grupo alquilo tiene de 12 a 36 átomos de carbono como estructura parcial y (B) un sustituyente hidrofílico iónico que tiene, como mínimo, un miembro seleccionado entre el grupo que consiste en grupos sulfónico, carboxílico, fosfórico, y sulfato y sales de los mismos como estructura parcial, en el que el grado de sustitución por el sustituyente (A) es de 0, 001 a 1 por residuo de monosacárido constituyente determinado por espectrometría NMR; y el del sustituyente (B) es de 0, 01 a 0, 5 por residuo de monosacárido constituyente determinado por titulación coloidal.

Abstract: A process for producing a glyceryl ether which contains a markedly small amount of organohalogen compounds and therefore can be used even for cosmetics and body detergents. The process comprises reacting an alcohol with an alpha-epihalohydrin in the presence of an acid catalyst, subjecting the reaction mixture to ring closure to convert it into the corresponding glycidyl ether and then hydrolyzing the glycidyl ether, wherein: (a) the hydrolysis is effected at 140 to 230° C. in the presence of a salt formed from a strongly basic compound and a weakly acidic compound, or (b) the reaction mixture after the hydrolysis is heated at 100 to 230° C. in the presence of a salt formed from a strongly basic compound and a weakly acidic compound.
