Abstract: A dye composition for keratinous fibers is discosed. The composition comprises a developing substance and, as a coupling substance, a 3,5-diaminopyridine derivative of the following formula (I), wherein R is an alkoxy group or a group wherein R and R may be the same or different and individually represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyalkyl group, R a hydroxy, alkoxy, or hydroxyalkyl group, and n is a number of 1-4; or a salt thereof. The composition is capable of dyeing keratinous fibers such as hairs in blue color with a high vividness and with resistances to the light, color change, and discoloration due to shampooing.

Another hair cosmetic product includes: a two-agent type hair cosmetic which comprises a first agent containing an alkali agent and a second agent containing hydrogen peroxide, and which is used after mixing the first and second agents immediately prior to use; and a foamer vessel which discharges a mixed liquid of the first and second agents in the form of foam, wherein a surfactant is contained in the mixed liquid in an amount of 0.1 to 10 wt.%, and the viscosity of the mixed liquid at 25°C is 1 to 300 mPa s.

The ammonia and the higher alcohol are preferably contained in amounts of 0.02-2.8wt.% and 0.5-40.0wt.%, respectively. The developing agent is e.g. p-phenylene diamine. The coupling agent is e.g. α-naphthol. The composition gives a good dyed finish ranged from a light color to a deep color.
