Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a harvesting part structure of a root vegetable harvester having good workability, capable of preventing biting of soil, small stones, etc., into starting end parts of endless rotating belts of a carrying apparatus for harvest. CONSTITUTION:A carrying apparatus 1 for harvest provided with a pair of right and left endless rotating belts V oppositely arranged in a state upwardly inclined in the rear and driven and holding the leaf part of a root vegetable by the endless rotating belts V, pulling up the root vegetable upward while pulling it from the ground and carrying the vegetable backward is installed, and grass-dividing tools 3 capable of raising the foliage part of the root vegetable are attached on the front of starting end parts of endless rotating belts V and, at the same time, a soil-cutting blade 4 for pushing and cutting soil on the transverse side in a state thrust into soil in the front of starting end parts of endless rotating belts V is attached on the supporting frame 20 for supporting the carrying apparatus 1 for harvest and the supporting arm 21B connected at the top part of a supporting frame 20 and supporting the soil-cutting blade 4 in a state extended forward is formed and, simultaneously, a coupling part R between the supporting frame 20 and the supporting arm 21B is disposed in the backward lower part of starting end parts of the endless rotating belts V.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a stem culm position detector so designed that a detecting body is prevented from being subjected to an excessive contact load not only during normal advancing traveling but also during retreating traveling to avoid damaging the detecting body. CONSTITUTION:A pair of left and right detecting bodies 10A, 10B each of continuous form swingable along the longitudinal direction of the machine body around the respective pivotal points on the base end side in such a state as to be energized returnably to the neutral position along the longitudinal direction of the machine body are arranged in such a state that the pivotal points are situated at an interval along the longitudinal direction of the machine body. The detecting body 10A with the corresponding pivotal point situated on the front side is linearly extended by a length corresponding to the above-mentioned interval and then bent on the rear side of the machine body and extended linearly again; whereas, the other detecting body 10B with the corresponding pivotal point situated on the rear side is linearly extended by a length corresponding to said interval and then bent on the front side of the machine body and extended linearly again.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a root vegetable harvester not only facilitating treatment of harvested root vegetables by cut and release of foliar parts but readily controlling harvested root vegetables at a recovery part by a driver, making driving easy, surely discharging cut foliar part from a machine irrespective of rise and fall operation of a harvesting part. CONSTITUTION:In a carrot harvester made by equipping a traveling machine 7 with a harvesting part B and a recovering part 9, the harvesting part B composed of a harvesting conveyor 1, a leaf cutting device 8 and a foliar part conveyor 10 is made liftable rockingly around a right and left facing support. The foliar part conveyor 10 is arranged in a state of transporting the cut foliar part slantingly from the leaf cutting device 10 to the front part at the side of a machine at the opposite side of the harvesting conveyor 1. A chute 14 for guiding the cut foliar part sent by the foliar part conveyor is extended below the foliar part conveyor 10 and is installed in a state of being rockingly raised and dropped in an integrated way with the harvesting part B.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a packing sheet from moving due to inroads of air, by providing a protrusion, where the end of drawn packing sheet by a drawing means is superposed, in the packing table, in a packing method in which a packing article is fed from the upper side and enveloped with the contracted packing sheet. CONSTITUTION:A spherical packing article like a cabbage is dropped into the opening 2a formed on a packing table 2. A packing sheet 1 is contracted at the outer edge of the opening to envelop time article which is supported from the lower side by a vertically movable support bed. The packing sheet 1 is unfolded on the packing table 2 by the horizontal reciprocal motion of a drawing means 38 provided with a manipulating arm 41 to nip the end 1b thereof. When the packing sheet 1 is drawn to a specified position, the manipulation arm 41 does not hold the packing sheet 1. And in this time, the s[meet edge 1b is superposed on the protrusion 51 formed on the packing table 2. In this way, the packing sheet 1 does not move easily owing to the contact or friction of the protrusion 51 with the packing sheet 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a general-purpose binding machine capable of carrying out binding operation smoothly and in good workability even in the case of an article to be bound whose top end side is thicker than its place to be bound and which is easily bendable, or of a box-shaped article to be bound. CONSTITUTION:The title machine has: a binding mechanism for binding an article to be bound, which is set on a work stand 7 and transferred along the surface of this stand; a passing detection switch SW2 with a detecting piece 27 projecting upward from the work stand 7 at an article transfer place thereof; and an operation switch SW1 which is foot-operated. When the passing of the article is detected by the passing detection switch SW2, or when the operation switch SW1 is operated, a single rotation clutch mechanism interposed between an electric motor and the binding mechanism is actuated to carry out binding operation. Further, a channel 7a for the passing of the article to be bound is formed at a place different from the place of the work stand 7, where the passing detection switch SW2 is disposed.
