Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type small root vegetable harvester capable of continuously and efficiently carrying out a treatment for lifting root vegetables from a field and a treatment for cutting the leaves of the root vegetables. SOLUTION: This walking harvester for root vegetables is obtained by disposing a nipping, lifting and carrying device 9 for nipping, lifting, hanging and rearward and upward carrying the leaf portions of the root vegetables in a field, a positioning, nipping and carrying device A whose nipping-starting end is placed at a position on the back side of the nipping-starting end of the nipping, lifting and carrying device 9 below the device 9 and which is used for arranging the heights of the root vegetable main bodies Wa, while the leaf portions Wb of the hung and carried root vegetables W are nipped from the right and left sides and rearward carried, and a cutter 3 for acting on the leaf portions Wb of the root vegetables whose heights are arranged with the positioning, nipping and carrying device A, on a travel frame having wheels on the right and left sides and having a steering handle 6 in the rear side. A soil-cutting and collapsing member 8 is further disposed at a place near to the starting end of the nipping, lifting and carrying device 9.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge cut stems and leaves to a farm land in an disentangled state to some degree so as to be easily plowed in the state and be not accumulated on a machine body. SOLUTION: This roguing harvester is provided with a harvesting carrier 1 inserting and holding the stem/leave part of a crop growing in the farm land to pull out and suspend-carrying it to a rear/upper side, a leaf cutter 8 cutting the stem/leaf part of the crop from the carrier 1 in the state of being positioned under this carrier 1 and a recovering device 9 recovering the crop from the cutter 8 in the state of being arranged on the rear part side of the carrier 1. In this case, a shoot 17 is provided outside of the machine body in order to receive the cut stem/leaf part cut by the cutter 8 and to drop the received cut stem/leaf part onto the ground surface.

For the foliage part clamping force of the pair of the clamping belts 11, the one at the intermediate part of the roguing and carrying device 11 is set smaller than the one at the other parts, and when more than prescribed downward moving force by the positioning and carrying mechanism 21 acts, the foliage part is slipped through downwards from the pair of the clamping belts 11.

A foliage discharge mechanism 27 for discharging the foliage parts cut in the leaf cutting device 3 near the field after the crops are pulled out is provided on the rear part of the crop processing part A.

A separating device B is equipped with a revolving endless belt 5 and a cutter 6, receives the carrots 30 from the rotating endless chain 4 by the revolving endless belt 5 and its set estimated place of cutting is supplied to the cutter 6. A rotor 16 rotating around a starting part of transportation of the revolving endless belt 5 is positioned closer to a starting side of transportation of the rotating endless chain 4 than a rotator 17 rotating around an ending part of transportation of the rotating endless chain 4. The revolving endless belt 5 receives the transported carrots in a starting state of holding action on the foliar parts 30b before holding by the endless rotating chain 4 is released.
