Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of work efficiency caused by unnecessary deceleration while optimally controlling the vehicle speed in a state to minimize the control delay when the reaping culm number is increased by the difference of reaping style. SOLUTION: The objective combine harvester is provided with a vehicle speed controlling means 100 to control the vehicle speed by automatically changing the traveling speed changer 11 while keeping the load on the engine E at the target level and preventing the increase of the speed beyond a prescribed upper limit and with a reaping style judging means 102 to judge whether the reaping style for the culm introduced into a culm introducing path of the reaping apparatus 4 is a row-reaping style to reap a row of culms planted in the moving direction of the machine body or other reaping style. When the reaping style is judged to the other style, the vehicle speed controlling means 100 changes the upper limit of the speed in performing the vehicle speed control to a lower level compared with the judgement as the row-reaping style.

The actual operating state of each of the mechanical parts is determined on the basis of the information detected by the sensors S1 to S11 and the information about the memorized reference values by a controlling means 100 to control the operation of each of the mechanical parts based on the information about the actual operating state.
