Abstract:
A system and method for storing data in a peer-to-peer network. A computer system includes interconnected hosts configured to store data segments. A first host stores a first subset of the data segments received from other hosts. The first host maintains a portion of a distributed hash table corresponding to the first subset of data segments and de-duplicates the first subset of the data segments against the remaining data segments. The distributed hash table comprises entries corresponding to the data segments, each entry including a data segment fingerprint that unambiguously identifies the corresponding data segment. The first host selects and joins a group of hosts that maintains the distributed hash table. The first host conveys data to the selected group indicating its availability to own additional entries in the distributed hash table.

A fully articulable feedstock delivery device that is designed to operate at pressure and temperature extremes. The device incorporates an articulating ball assembly which allows for more accurate delivery of the feedstock to a target location. The device is suitable for a variety of applications including, but not limited to, delivery of feedstock to a high-pressure reaction chamber or process zone.
Abstract:
A latch mechanism which includes two paddles that are engaged by a lock plate. The lock plate is configured to swivel into engagement with lock portions of the paddles, thereby generally locking the paddles in place. Preferably, the lock plate engages a substantial width of the lock portions to avoid creating an undesirable asymmetrical loading condition. As a result of engaging a substantial width of the lock portions of the paddles, the locking of the paddles is robust and reliable. Preferably, the lock portions on the paddles include a retention ramp that engages corresponding structure on the lock plate. The retention ramp renders the engagement between the lock plate and paddles generally more effective. Additionally, preferably the lock plate includes an extending portion that provides a helical ramp which engages a lock assembly, wherein engagement between the lock assembly and helical ramp provides that the lock assembly can be actuated to cause the lock plate to swivel into or out of engagement with the paddles. Preferably, the lock plate is spring biased such that the helical ramp on the extending portion of the lock plate is biased into engagement with the lock assembly.

A cleaning nozzle for cleaning a fueling receptacle capable of receiving a separate fueling nozzle for transferring cryogenic fluid from a fueling station is disclosed. An example cleaning nozzle includes a body that defines a cavity. The example cleaning nozzle includes a nozzle head coupled to and extending from a distal end of the body. The nozzle head defines a plurality of spray holes to spray pressurized air onto the fueling receptacle. The example cleaning nozzle includes a blower that defines a blower inlet, a blower outlet, and a blower flow path extending between the blower inlet and the blower outlet. The blower comprises a valve and a lever operatively coupled to the valve. The example cleaning nozzle includes an insert defining an insert flow path that is fluidly coupled to the blower outlet. The example cleaning nozzle includes a connector fluidly connecting the insert and the nozzle head.

A process for producing boron nitride nanotubes and/or boron-carbon-nitrogen nanotubes of the general formula BxCyNz. The process utilizes a combination of laser light and nitrogen gas flow to support a boron ball target during heating of the boron ball target and production of a boron vapor plume which reacts with nitrogen or nitrogen and carbon to produce boron nitride nanotubes and/or boron-carbon-nitrogen nanotubes of the general formula BxCyNz.

Boron nitride nanotubes are prepared by a process which includes: (a) creating a source of boron vapor; (b) mixing the boron vapor with nitrogen gas so that a mixture of boron vapor and nitrogen gas is present at a nucleation site, which is a surface, the nitrogen gas being provided at a pressure elevated above atmospheric, e.g., from greater than about 2 atmospheres up to about 250 atmospheres; and (c) harvesting boron nitride nanotubes, which are formed at the nucleation site.

A method for the production of long, high aspect ratio boron nitride nanotubes and boron nitride nanotube fibrils composed of single or few walled boron nitride nanotubes aligned in bundles of nanotubes 20 μm and longer at a rate of above about 1 meter per second. Nanotube yarns comprised of twisted bundles of such nanotube fibrils are also described.
