Disclosed herein is a method for sending a broadcast signal. The method includes formatting input streams into multiple data pipes (DPs). Formatting the input streams into the multiple DPs includes splitting the input streams into multiple data streams, deleting a null packet included in a data stream, and forming a baseband frame (BBF) by adding a header to the data stream. The baseband frame includes a deleted null packet (DNP) field indicative of the number of deleted null packets, and the DNP field comprises at least one of a first DNP or a second DNP.

A method and an apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals thereof are disclosed. The apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals comprises an encoder for encoding data corresponding to each of the data transmission channel which carries at least one service data or service component data, a frame builder for building at least one signal frame including the encoded data, a modulator for modulating the at least one signal frame by an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) scheme and a transmitter for transmitting the broadcast signals carrying the at least one modulated signal frame.

Se da a conocer un método y un aparato para transmitir señales de radiodifusión de los mismos. El aparato para transmitir señales de radiodifusión comprende un formateador de entrada para dar formato al menos a un flujo de entrada para emitir datos de DP (canal de datos) correspondientes a cada uno de una pluralidad de DP, en el que el cada uno de una pluralidad de DP contiene al menos un servicio o al menos un componente de servicio, un codificador para codificar los datos de DP, un mapeador para mapear los datos de DP codificados en constelaciones, un intercalador de tiempo para intercalar en el tiempo los datos de DP mapeados, un constructor de trama para construir por lo menos una trama de señal que incluye los datos de DP intercalados, un modulador para modular datos en la construcción por lo menos una trama de señal por un esquema de OFCM (multiplexor de división de frecuencia ortogonal) y un transmisor para transmitir las señales de radiodifusión que tienen los datos modulados.

El objeto de la presente invención puede lograrse al proporcionar un método para transmitir señales de difusión que incluyen codificar datos de Canalización de Datos, DP, en donde la codificación además incluye Corrección de Errores Sin Retorno, FEC, que codifica los datos de DP, intercalar por Bits los datos de DP codificados por FEC y mapear los datos de DP intercalados por bits en constelaciones; construir al menos una trama de señal al mapear los datos de DP codificados; y modular los datos en al menos una trama de señal construida por un método de Multiplexión de División por Frecuencia Ortogonal, OFDM, y transmitir las señales de difusión que tienen los datos modulados, en donde cada una de al menos una trama de señal incluye al menos un preámbulo que ha repetido al menos una información de señalización.
