    Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) for multicast packet transmission in a wireless network. The system (100) allocates each client device a separate multicast queue for transmitting multicast packets. The queue size is adjusted depending on whether a multicast packet was successfully transmitted to a client device or not. For each failed transmission, the multicast queue size for the client device is reduced by a certain configurable factor until a minimum threshold is reached, wherein the multicast queue for the client device is deleted if the minimum threshold is reached. For each successful transmission, the multicast queue size for the client device is increased until a maximum queue size limit is reached.
