    Abstract: PURPOSE:To focus a lens properly and speedily by measuring the size of an image made of reflected light from an alignment target at three points so as to obtain the absolute quantity of a deviation amount and driving a light condensing lens automatically at a focus position in accordance with the deviation amount. CONSTITUTION:Two optical systems 5 and 6 are constructed with a set of a lens (L3)51 and a mirror group and a set of a lens (L4)61 and a mirror group, respectively, and are arranged so that images lying before and after the target image at an equal distance are formed on a CCD camera 4. The titled device has a diameter detector 7 obtaining the magnitude (beam diameter) from the image obtained by two optical systems 5 and 6, a focus detector 8 detecting the current focus position from the beam diameter obtained by the diameter detector 7, that is, the deviation amount from a normal focus position and a drive device 9 driving the light condensing lens 2 based on a signal from the focus detector 8.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of a complicated procedure. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a first processor 1, a second processor 2 and a shared memory 3 shared thereby, the shared memory 3 is provided with N first buffer blocks 6-1 to 6-N and N second buffer blocks 7-1 to 7-N, and data are exchanged between the first processor 1 and the second processor 2 through the shared memory 3. While the second processor 2 deallocates an S-th first buffer block 6-S, an (S+1)th first buffer block is allocated by the first processor 1 and while the second processor 2 deallocates an N-th first buffer block 6-X (X=N), the first buffer block 6-1 is allocated by the first processor 1. Thus, by cyclically using the buffer blocks, a buffer block, which can be used, exists without fail. Therefore, allocation and deallocation can be simultaneous and allocation and deallocation can be asynchronous.

In this case, when the 1st write part receives a request 9 for a 1st process from the managing device 1, a state 'wherein 1st writing is in process' is specified and when the 2nd writing part receives a request for a 2nd process 11 from the local console 4, a state wherein 'the 2nd writing is in process' is specified. Through the specification, overwrite between the two wiring processes is evaded.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To track a target whether it is an exothermic body or endothermic body by extracting the color of the target from background colors to represent by three components and driving so as to let a color image pickup sensor point to the target while renewing its brightness information and position information. CONSTITUTION:A color image sensor element 11 takes a picture of a target and outputs three color signals R, G, B of red, green and blue as time series signals corresponding to X-Y coordinates of the visual field of a camera. A color extracting element 12 extracts the color signal to represent only the color of the target among the three color signals R, G, B output from the sensor element 11 to output. The maximum brightness position detecting element 13 outputs the position coordinates of the maximum brightness point per frame to represent the target on the basis of X-Y coordinate informations for the sensor element 11 to output and the output of the extracting element 12. A following signal output element 14 outputs the following signal to let the sensor element 11 follow in the target to a stabilized gimbal element 15 on the basis of the position coordinates of this maximum brightness point and let the visual line of the sensor 11 point to the target.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To find the center of area gravity within one frame only by an electric circuit without using any software by digitizing a video signal which is obtained by an image pickup means and converting the digital signal into binary data by using a specific threshold value. CONSTITUTION:A CCD camera 20 as an image pickup means picks up an image of a target and an A/D converter 21 digitizes the obtained video analog signal. A comparator 23 compares the digital video signal with the specific threshold value in picture element units, frame by frame, and converts the signal into the binary signal by representing picture elements which exceed the threshold value as a logical binary value '1' and others as a logical binary value '0'. The gravity center detecting means consisting of adders 24, 26, and 29, switches 25 and 26, and dividers 27 and 30 finds the center of gravity of the area occupied by a video area represented by the logical binary value '1' according to the total number of picture elements in the video area represented by the logical binary value '1' and coordinate information on each picture element.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To drive a lens to the focus position at a time by measuring the size of the image of reflected light at three points to obtain the absolute value of an extent of deviation. CONSTITUTION:A CCD camera 14 is placed in a position conjugate to the image of a target. A CCD camera 15 is placed before the CCD camera 14 with respect to image. A CCD camera 16 is placed after the CCD camera 14 with respect to image. A diameter detector 7 obtains the size (diameter) in accordance with images obtained by CCD cameras 14, 15, and 16. A focus detector 8 obtains the present focus position in accordance with the beam diameter obtained in this manner. A driving device 9 drives a condenser lens. That is, since a true focus position is in the middle between CCD cameras 14 and 15, the difference between the present focus position and the true focus position is used as an extent of driving to drive the lens.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an excess bit not distinguished from a reception data from being in existence in the reception data by delaying an output signal of a shift register circuit for detecting an idle pattern by a same number of bits as a consecutive prescribed idle pattern check bit number after the end of a data signal and giving the result to a data signal start end detection circuit. CONSTITUTION:The transmitter-receiver is provided with a shift register circuit 2 for detecting an idle pattern delaying an output signal of a shift register circuit 1 for detecting an idle pattern by a same number of bits as a consecutive prescribed idle pattern check bit number after the end of a data signal and giving the result to a data signal start end detection circuit 3. The data signal start end detection circuit 3 monitors an output of each stage of the shift register circuit 2 for detecting an idle pattern and clears a data detection signal 13 immediately when the circuit 2 detects a consecutive bit number Y of a prescribed idle pattern A in a reception signal 11. Thus, the presence of an excess bit not distinguished from a data signal 14 is not caused in the reception data signal 14 when the data detection signal 13 is in existence.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the confusion of transmission in other channels by using only a required channel from a station so as to send a test signal therethrough and forming a loopback loop for only a required channel accordingly. CONSTITUTION:This transmitter-receiver is provided with a loopback circuit 10, a multiplexer circuit 11, response signal generating circuits 20-23, remote test signal detection circuits 24-27, a test signal detection discrimination circuit 28 and a test control circuit 29. When a party conducting the test sends a remote test signal from a required channel only, the signal is discriminated by a test signal detecting and discrimination circuit 28 simultaneously and the circuit 28 controls a test control circuit 29, thereby allowing the forming of a loopback loop only at a required channel. Thus, no confusion takes place in the transmission state of other channels.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable tracking of a non-heat emitting substance by a method wherein a color image signal whose R, G and B components approximate to reference colors is extracted, the color components are synthesized, a luminance average is determined on the basis of the synthesized components and tracking of a target is conducted in accordance with the order of luminance averages. CONSTITUTION:The color image of a target is sensed by a color image sensor element 11 supported by a stabilized gimbal 16, and a color extracting element 12 extracts only signals of colors approximating to reference colors from R, G and B signals from the sensor element 11 and outputs a synthesized image signal. A gate being applied to this signal, a luminance average computing element 13 calculates a local average value of luminance with respect to all images. Then, an order processing element 14 selects several average luminance images having large average values and supplies informations on positions thereof to a tracking signal output element 15. The gimbal 16 is controlled by a tracking signal given from the output element 15 on the basis of said informations, and thus the target of a non-heat emitting substance can also be tracked since a heat wave is not used.
