Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate possible leakage of the information required for authentication to the outside by calculating a hash value from the hash function of a unidirectional function algorithm, discriminating whether or not this hash value matches a hash value similarly calculated and transmitted by an opposite party and certifying the opposite party by making a master key hashed for each line connection. SOLUTION: A line terminating device 1A is connected between a line 20 and a terminal 21 such as a personal computer. A line terminating part 11 of the line terminating device 1A provides an interface with the line 20 and a terminal interface part 14 provides an interface with the terminal 21. An authentication processing part 15 executes an authentication sequence at the time of line connection and a memory 16 preserves the information required for the authentication. A data selecting part 13 selects data from the terminal interface part 14 and data from the authentication processing part 15, and submits them to a communication processing part 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device alarm detection method which can set various alarm detection conditions. SOLUTION: A driver collects alarms of a device every period T (21). It uses collected alarms to perform the update processing of an alarm information table (22). The updated alarm information table and an alarm detection pattern table as alarm occurrence and extinction conditions are compared with each other (23). If they mutually coincide, the occurrence or extinction of an alarm is recorded in accordance with a pertinent condition and is reported to an application (24). If they don't coincide with each other, processing is not performed at all. The application receives the report to update contents of items of a pertinent alarm classification in an alarm occurrence condition table and executes a prescribed processing for alarm occurrence or extinction if it exists.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with cable laying construction so as to lower a production cost by carrying out information transmission between respective seats in a passenger room and a conductor room by means of electric waves. Reserved seat information is read from a reserved seat ticket by means of the reading units 1-1, 1-2.... In a conductor room B, a telemeter receiving unit 3 and a display unit 4 are arranged. The electric waves from the telemeter transmission units 2-1, 2-2... are received by means of the telemeter receiving unit 3 so that the reserved seat information is demodulated, and then, the demodulated reserved seat information is displayed in the display unit 4.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform target alignment speedily an accurately by irradiating a target with laser light through a condenser lens, processing a target image and an image of the diameter of the laser light, and detecting the quantity of defocusing of the condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:The target 3 is irradiated with the laser light converged by the condenser lens 2 and its image is picked up by a CCD camera 4. Then, the diameter of the target image of the image and the diameter of the image of peripheral laser light are calculated by a diameter detector 6. Then, a beam detector 7 calculates the actual diameter of the laser light on the target surface from the image diameter obtained by the detector 6. Then, a defocusing quantity detector 8 calculates the quantity of defocusing from the focus of the condenser lens and the actual diameter of the laser light obtained by the detector 7. The condenser lens 2 is moved according to the quantity of defocusing to set the focus position of the condenser lens 2 at a target position. Thus, the quantity of defocusing is detected by arithmetic from the target image for alignment to put the condenser lens in focus, so the target alignment is carried out speedily and accurately.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a line by performing time division multiplexing of one of plural information channels of an ISDN line, separately converting signals from an analog telephone set and a data terminal into a digital signal at a fixed speed and communicating through the ISDN line, allocating converted digital signals. SOLUTION: A subscriber line interface circuit 1 controls a signal from an analog telephone set, and an adaptive difference pulse code modulation circuit 2 samples a voice waveform and converts it into a digital signal by sequentially changing quantization width according to the size of difference between samples. On the other hand, a speed-converting circuit 4 converts a data signal from a data terminal into a digital signal. BchTDM circuit 6 performs time division multiplexing of these signals, and Bah control circuit 8 separately allocates an output signal from the circuit 6 and an output signal from a terminal interface circuit 7 to two Bah of an ISDN line, multiplexes them, and transmits them via an ISDN interface circuit 10.

Then when the 1st synchronism establishment display signal (A)e came out of synchronizm, the 2nd synchronism establishment display signal (B)f is provided and parallel data output of several frames stored in a data storage register B is provided when necessary.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal dedicated for walker in which a signal for crossing a desired road can be easily switched even without push-button operation. SOLUTION: When a walker enters a preset area in front of a signal 3, an infrared image sensor 1 catches the walker in that area as a heat source, possesses the infrared image of that walker and sends it to a signal processing part 2. An A/D converter 21 at the signal processing part 2 converts that infrared image to a digital signal. An image memory 22 stores the image converted to the digital signal by the A/D converter 21. A comparator 23 compares the image of a current picture with the image of the preceding picture stored in the image memory 22 pixel by pixel and counts the number of non-coincident pixels. Corresponding to the level of a count value from the comparator 23, a signal control part 24 catches a change in that image and switches the signals of the signal 3 corresponding to its change amount.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To avoid production of a data error due to speed difference among channels by inputting a test signal detection output and a reply signal detection output of each channel to a test control circuit and executing loopback after the test signal of all channels is detected and the transmission of the reply signal is finished. CONSTITUTION:When a test signal is detected in a data signal 15 of each channel, a test signal detection circuit 13 outputs a detection signal 17 to a test control circuit 18, a reply signal generating detection circuit 12 sends a reply signal after the reception of the test signal is finished and outputs a reply signal detection signal 16 to the test control circuit 18 when the transmission of the reply signal is finished. When all of the reply signal detection signal 16 and the detection signal 17 are detected, the test control circuit 18 outputs a test control signal 19 to a loopback circuit 10. Upon the receipt of the test control signal 19, the loopback circuit 10 forms a loopback to an opposite data transmission reception equipment. Thus, occurrence of a data error due to different data signal speed of each channel is not caused.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simultaneously measure the energy of the laser beam converted by a wavelength converting element and that of laser beam not converted by said element, by separating the laser beam having two wavelengths passing through the wavelength converting element into two directions using a dichroic mirror. CONSTITUTION:When laser beam having a certain wavelength is incident on a wavelength converting element 1, laser beam converted in its wavelength and the incident laser beam are together emitted. These laser beams having two wavelengths are simultaneously condensed by a condensing lens 2 and allowed to be incident on a dichroic mirror 4 while the intensities thereof are weakened by an optical filter 3. Since the dichroic mirror 4 reflects only laser beam having a certain wavelength and transmits laser beam having other wavelength, the energy of the laser beam converted by the wavelength converting element 1 and that of the laser beam not converted by said element 1 can be simultaneously measured by energy measuring sensors 5, 6 each using a biplanar photoelectric tube measuring the energies of respective wavelengths.
