Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insoluble organic compound for shielding UV irradiation. SOLUTION: An insoluble organic compound for shielding UV irradiation, having at least one allyl vinyl ketone group and being in a shape of fine particle with 10 nm-5 μm particle size and a material sensitive to the UV irradiation are obtained and application of those as an agent for shielding the UV irradiation in order to protect the skin or hair or control skin color is provided. This organic UV shielding agent is obtained by grinding the insoluble organic compound or the material sensitive to the UV irradiation in the presence of one or more suitable surfactants. The term 'allyl vinylene ketone' includes all allyl vinylene derivatives containing a carbonyl group at α position to a double bond but free from amide group.
