Abstract: The present invention relates to an enzyme immunoassay method for assaying calcium ion, including putting calcium-dependent glutamate dehydrogenase, namely glutamate dehydrogenase (GLDH) never expressing its activity in the absence of calcium ion, in contact to the calcium ion in a sample to assay the enzyme activity of the GLDH, the activity changing depending on the calcium ion concentration in the sample; and the invention also relates to an assay reagent for use in the same. Because the reagent is very stable in a solution state under storage, the reagent can be incorporated in a liquid reagent. Thus, the calcium in a biological material or other samples can be assayed in a simple and accurate manner.

The alpha-amylase inhibitor is used for quantitative analysis of alpha-amylase isozymes in body fluid.

The reagent is used to quench ammonia in a test substance when urea, creatinine or creatine in the test substance, e.g. urine, serum or the like, is measured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a diaphragm holding body having no pinholes and creases inexpensively in high yields by melt sticking only the parts excluding the central hole of the holding body by heating and at the same time by grasping the diaphragm covering the central hole of said holding body flatly without applying heat thereto. CONSTITUTION:Beforehand, a thermocompression bonding end part 33 is heated up to the melt-sticking temp. of a diaphragm 1 by a heater 17, a temp. measuring body 18, and a temp. controller 19. Thereafter, the operator brings down a handle 22 by hand until a thermocompression bonding body 14 abuts on said end part, then a diaphragm 1 covering the central hole of a holding body 2 is grasped flatly by means of the 1st grasping plate 15 and the 2nd grasping plate 12. The part 33 presses and sticks the diaphragm provided in the parts excluding the central hole of the body 2 and the parts 11 near the central hole to the body 2 by heting, thereby melt-sticking the diaphragm 1 to the body 2. When the operatore leaves the hand from the handle 22 after the melt sticking, the dipharagm holding body having no pinholes and creases is obtained.
