Abstract: Illuminating unit comprises a reflector (2) with a reflection surface (21) having a shape progression which represents a circle involute of a partial element of a lamp (3) expanded by a factor of more than 1. A coating (4) is formed on a partial region (31b) of the outer side (31) of the lamp bulb (3a) facing a display unit (5) for partially absorbing light emitted by the lamp. Preferred Features: The lamp has a phosphor layer (33) arranged on the inner side of the lamp bulb. The lamp bulb is tubular and is formed as a longitudinal rod.
