Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for indicating whether or not transmit opportunity (TXOP) sharing is allowed. An exemplary method generally includes generating a frame; indicating, via a value of at least one bit of a field of the frame, whether to allow transmit opportunity (TXOP) sharing during which a relay is allowed to forward the frame in the same TXOP in which the frame was transmitted; and transmitting the frame.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to selecting a deferral period after detecting an error in a received packet by an apparatus for wireless communications. The apparatus generally includes an interface configured to obtain a frame received over a medium, and a processing system configured to detect an occurrence of an error when processing the frame, determine an intended recipient of the frame based on information included in the frame, and select a deferral period, after detecting the occurrence of the error, during which the apparatus refrains from transmitting on the medium, wherein the selection is based, at least in part, on the determination.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for providing legacy compatible signaling for channel bonding. An example apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to generate a frame having channel bonding information indicating one or more channels available for multi-user (MU) communication by one or more wireless nodes and a first interface configured to output the frame for transmission.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus includes a processor configured to indicate first information via a field of a control frame. The processor further indicates second information different from the first information via the field. The apparatus may also include an interface (e.g., circuitry) for providing the control frame for transmission. The control frame may be a null data packet (NDP) power save (PS)-poll frame.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for reducing overhead paging are described. One example of such a method includes generating a compressed traffic indication map (TIM) element, the compressed TIM element comprising a partial virtual bitmap field constructed from at least one encoded block field that includes an encoded block information field identifying at least one encoding mode for encoded block information, and sending the compressed TIM element to an at least one station (STA) associated with the access point that supports at least one multiple basic service set identifier (BSSID). The method may also include, in response to the at least one encoding mode comprising an offset, length, bitmap (OLB) mode, encoding the encoded block information field to include a length subfield followed by contiguous subblock subfields, each subblock subfield including a corresponding subblock of a partial virtual map.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for communicating data in a wireless communications network are described herein. In some aspects, a receiver of a relay is configured to receive a relay initiator frame and a data frame. A transmitter of the relay is configured to transmit an amplified version of the data frame at a same or substantially same time as a time that the data frame is received if the relay initiator frame is received prior to the data frame.
Abstract:
In some aspects, a method (500) for configuring channel access parameters in a wireless communication system includes determining (502), at an access point (104), an enhanced distributed channel access [EDCA] parameter for a first subset of stations of a plurality of stations, the first subset of stations capable of transmitting multi-user uplink transmissions. The method further includes generating (504) an information element (300, 400) including the EDCA parameter. The method further includes transmitting (506) the information element such that the information element is decodable by the first subset of stations and not by a second subset of stations of the plurality of stations. Abstract:
Aspects described herein relate to requesting and/or reporting channel feedback. A request for channel feedback can be generated by an access point, where the request includes an indicator specifying that the request uses a first format different from a second format, where the indicator corresponds to a bit of a station (STA) information field defined by the second format. The access point can transmit, and a STA can receive, the request for channel feedback.
