The base station may configure resource allocation for wakeup signaling based at least in part on one or more resource patterns corresponding to different user equipment groups and/or antenna port configurations. The user equipment may receive a wakeup signal based at least in part on the resource allocation, detect the wakeup signal based at least in part on a preamble of the wakeup signal, and receive a subsequent communication based at least in part on the wakeup signal. Additionally, some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide for resource allocation to achieve spatial diversity for wakeup signals for a single UE group by transmitting the wakeup signals using two or more antenna ports according to respective resource patterns associated with the two or more antenna ports. Furthermore, some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide configurations for wakeup signals based at least in part on delays or gaps, repetitious communications, synchronization in accordance with a power level of the wakeup signal, and the like.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, a base station, a user equipment (UE), and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The base station may encode a wakeup signal so that a preamble of the wakeup signal indicates whether the wakeup signal is relevant to the UE. The UE may select a technique for detecting the wakeup signal based at least in part on a partial, full, or no synchronization. In some aspects, the wakeup signal may be encoded with a system frame number. In some aspects, wakeup signals for guardband/standalone UEs are provided. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide for the determination of a gap for a scheduled communication involving multiple, different TBs. For example, some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide for the determination of a gap between two or more PDSCHs that are scheduled by a same DCI based at least in part on a UE capability, such as a processing time or a processing mode. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide for the determination of a gap between a last PDSCH and a next PDCCH based at least in part on the UE capability. The gap(s) may permit the UE to successfully receive and/or decode multiple PDSCHs and/or PDCCHs in view of the limitations imposed by the UEs processing time or processing mode. In this way, efficiency of PDSCH/PDCCH resource utilization may be improved, the likelihood of a failed PDCCH transmission is reduced, and network efficiency is improved.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) block including DCI for a set of transport blocks scheduled for the UE, the DCI including a set of fields. The UE may decode the DCI block to obtain the DCI for the set of transport blocks, where at least two fields of the downlink control information are jointly decoded according to an encoding scheme, and where each possible output of the encoding scheme corresponds to a jointly valid combination of the at least two fields. The UE may receive the set of transport blocks from a base station based on the DCI.
