Abstract:
A method of manufacture, which in one implementation includes but is not limited to forming at least one electromagnetic shield and at least one antenna in substantial electrical current communication (e.g., 102). A system, which in one implementation includes but is not limited to at least one electromagnetic shield and at least one antenna formed in substantial electrical current communication (e.g., 304, 308).
Abstract:
A control module interconnecting a transmitter portion and a signal receiver portion of a mobile device is provided. The control module monitors the transmitter portion of the mobile device and, based on the monitored condition, alters the mobile device to inhibit the ability of a transmission signal from a transmitter to interfere with the signal receiver portion, i.e., intelligent blanking. In other words, the control module may disable or modify the signal receiver portion when power on the transmitter portion exceeds a predetermined power threshold level. Alternatively the control module may force the transmitter portion to transmit at a reduced power level.
Abstract:
The subject matter disclosed herein relates to the control and utilization of multiple sensors within a device. For an example, motion of a device may be detected in response to receipt of a signal from a first sensor disposed in the device, and a power state of a second sensor also disposed in the device may be changed in response to detected motion.
Abstract:
A power management device useable in a mobile station includes a main processor configured to execute applications including signal processing applications and further configured to enter a sleep mode in response to predetermined criteria. The device further includes a circuit configured to operate when the main processor is in the sleep mode comprising at least one of a low power processor and a sensor to monitor at least one of signals, commands, inputs, and changes in environment, the circuit waking up the main processor responsive to one of the low power processor and the sensor. The device may operate a method and may execute instructions based on a machine readable medium.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for combining pressure information from pressure sensors, motion information from dead reckoning or other motion sensors, such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and geomagnetic sensors, and temperature information from temperature sensors, to separate a change in altitude from a change in environmental pressure or temperature. A change in measured pressure without any motion or change in temperature must be a weather-related barometric pressure change. If there is an associated temperature change, but no motion, and the rate of change is too fast for a normal weather change, the measured change represents a change in sensitivity of the pressure sensor with temperature, and the sensor calibration can be adjusted. A rapid change in pressure, associated with horizontal motion, but no measurable vertical motion represents a movement into a different pressure environment. Only changes in pressure that are associated with measurable vertical motion are true changes in altitude.
