    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may transmit a downlink pre-emption indication (DLPI) or an uplink cancellation indication (ULCI) to a user equipment (UE) to indicate that a subset of resources of a scheduled downlink or uplink data transmission have been pre-empted or canceled. As such, the UE may either empty a buffer at the UE associated with the subset of resources or refrain from transmitting over the subset of resources based on receiving the DLPI or the ULCI, respectively. In some aspects of the present disclosure, the UE and the base station may support one or more inter-UE multiplexing schemes to increase a likelihood for the UE to receive the DLPI or the ULCI or to otherwise avoid collisions with communications between the base station and one or more other UEs.

    Abstract: Methods and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a network device (e.g. a base station) in an idle or disconnected state using preconfigured uplink resources (PURs). The UE may transmit uplink data, and may begin to monitor for a PUR response message corresponding to the uplink data after a configurable time offset. The base station may indicate the configurable time offset in an RRC release message, another message, or the UE may select the configurable time offset from a set of configurable time offsets based on one or more system parameter values. Additionally, the UE may not monitor for PUR response messages after every PUR occasion during which it transmits uplink data.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a downlink configuration including a set of resources for receiving downlink transmissions. The UE may determine a grant for performing uplink transmissions based on a radio resource control (RRC) message. The UE may determine, based on the downlink configuration, the grant, or both, an uplink configuration including a set of resources for transmitting the uplink transmissions at a set of uplink transmission occasions. In some aspects, the set of uplink transmission occasions may be arranged according to a non-uniform spacing pattern in a time domain. The UE may transmit, to a base station, one or more uplink transmissions based on the uplink configuration.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may receive at least one uplink transmission request in a paging message, the at least one uplink transmission request including at least one of at least one preconfigured sequence, a set of downlink reference signals, or a set of time or frequency locations for uplink resources. The apparatus may also measure a RSRP of the set of candidate SSBs in the at least one uplink transmission request. Additionally, the apparatus may determine at least one uplink beam for uplink transmissions based on the set of downlink reference signals. The apparatus may also receive uplink timing synchronization information based on the at least one uplink transmission request.
