    Abstract: A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting, to a core network, a request for a preferred assignment of a paging occasion subgroup. The method also includes receiving, from the core network, a response indicating whether the request is granted.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for capability indications by a reduced capability user equipment (UE) and UE-based performance measurement parameter reporting or self-organizing network (SON) parameter reporting based on the capability indications. A reduced capability UE may transmit a set of capabilities to a base station that indicate various types of parameter reporting that are supported at the UE. The base station may identify the UE as a reduced capability device, and set one or more reporting parameters based on the indicated UE capabilities. The base station may provide a reporting configuration to the UE with the one or more reporting parameters, and the UE may provide reporting of measured parameters (e.g., performance measurement parameter reporting or SON parameter reporting) based on the reporting configuration.

    Abstract: A UE and a base station are disclosed. The UE may receive, from a base station, an indication of a configuration of an SS and a set of candidate DL-RSs associated with a plurality of CG-SDT resources.     Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for wireless communication are described. A user equipment, UE, receives (1305), from a base station, control signaling indicating a set of connected discontinuous reception, C- DRX, configurations. The set of C-DRX configurations include a first C- DRX configuration and a second C-DRX configuration, where at least one C-DRX configuration in the set of C-DRX configurations is a UE- group common C-DRX configuration. The set of C-DRX configurations correspond to a discontinuous transmission, DTX, cycle of the base station. The UE selects (1310) a C-DRX configuration from the set of C-DRX configurations based on receiving the control signaling from the base station. Accordingly, the UE uses (1315) the selected C-DRX configuration to communicate with the base station. The selected C-DRX configuration may enable the base station to operate with reduced power consumption and higher DTX efficiency, among other benefits.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described related to a duty cycle configuration for power saving. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a duty cycle for cycling between a first power state associated with a first configuration and a second power state associated with a second configuration. In some examples, the first and second configurations may indicate a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration, restricted reception or transmission of one or more channels within the BWP configuration, or both for the UE. The UE may communicate first data traffic in accordance with the first configuration while operating in the first power state. The UE may transition from the first power state to the second power state in accordance with the duty cycle.     Abstract: In a wireless network, a base station may transmit a paging early indication (PEI) to a user equipment (UE) before a paging occasion (PO) to indicate whether the UE should wake up to receive a page, which is more power-efficient than legacy paging reception. However, UEs may not universally support PEI. Furthermore, a UE lacking PEI support cannot realize the potential power savings offered by a PEI. Accordingly, a UE may transmit, to a base station, capability information indicating whether the UE supports a PEI, and the base station may configure paging reception for the UE based at least in part on the capability information. In some aspects, the capability information indicates a minimum gap between a message scheduling a page and a message carrying the page, which allows a two-stage wake up to be implemented for UEs that support a PEI and UEs that lack PEI support.
