Abstract: An interface system configured to deliver a flow of breathable gas to a patient, including a patient interface (4) comprising a frame and a cushion that is releasably mountable to the frame and a positioning and stabilising structure configured to in-use maintain the patient interface in engagement with the patient’s nares. The cushion comprises a first nasal prong and a second nasal prong. The frame includes a first arm and a second arm that extend away from each other on either side of the patient’s nose, in use the first and second arms not extending further laterally than the lateral margins of the patient’s eyes. The positioning and stabilising structure includes headgear (283) having a cradle provided by an upper strap (284) configured to extend over the top of the patient’s head and a lower strap (290) configured to engage a back of the patient’s head to thereby serve as an anchor point. The headgear includes a first side strap and a second side strap that each extend from the cradle along a respective side of the patient’s head to connect the headgear to the frame.

Abstract: Disclosed is a patient interface suitable for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient. The patient interface has a generally cylindrical barrel with a first end and a second end. A pair of nasal prongs extend from the barrel between the first end and the second end. The nasal prongs are configured to engage the patient’s nares in a nonsealing manner to deliver the flow of breathable gas. The patient interface also has a tube connector connected to the generally cylindrical barrel and configured to connect the generally cylindrical barrel to a tube or cannula for delivering the flow of breathable gas. The tube connector has a first cylindrical portion configured to be connected to the barrel, a second cylindrical portion configured to be connected to the tube or cannula, and a third cylindrical portion connecting the first and second cylindrical portions. The interface further includes a a rigidized headgear attached to the first and second ends of the barrel.
